Almost 90 per cent of the COVID-19 patients who were given fake Remdesivir injections in Madhya Pradesh have recovered, police said. In what came as a surprise to the investigators, more than 100 patients who were administered the spurious injunction survived while 10 patients died.
These injections were sold by an inter-state gang as genuine Remdesivir—which is in high demand for treating COVID-19 patients—at exorbitant rates, a probe has revealed.
Police said in the last one month, the gang had supplied at least 1,200 spurious Remdesivir injections, which contained glucose water and salt, in Madhya Pradesh—700 in Indore and 500 in Jabalpur.
The Gujarat Police busted this racket in Surat on May 1 and arrested six persons.
"Investigation revealed that the gang with the help of one Sunil Mishra had supplied 1,200 fake Remdesivir injections in Madhya Pradesh in the last month," Indore's Vijay Nagar police station inspector Tahjib Kaji told PTI.
Kaji said Kaushal Vora, who was among the six persons arrested in Gujarat, had delivered a consignment of 700 fake injections to Mishra in Indore.
Mishra later went to Surat and brought a consignment of another 500 spurious injections, the police officer said.
"Of these 1,200 fake injections, 200 were sent to adjoining Dewas district from Indore, while 500 others were delivered to one Sapan Jain in Jabalpur," he added.
He said the Gujarat Police arrested Mishra in that state after the MP police passed on the information, while five accomplices of Mishra were arrested in Indore.
Kaji said the gang used to look for customers on social media under the garb of helping patients.
They used to charge anywhere between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 per injection, he said.
Police have seized seven such injections, manufactured in Gujarat, with the same batch numbers in Indore.
Probably less would have survived had they had the real drug.

What I want to know is this — when you have Covid symptoms and you are not allowed to use Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine or anything else, exactly what does the CDC or Fauci recommend you do at home?
Do you wait till your symptoms are so bad that you have to go to the hospital in order to be administered Remdesivir or Regeneron like Trump had?
They keep telling us that there are no Random Controlled Studies of Ivermectin. OK, fine, what’s the alternative to prevent hospitalization that has had random controlled studies?

You are “ allowed” to use HCQ or ivermectin, you just need the right doctor to prescribe it. Research telemed providers and keep some on speed dial. Be prepared to take control of your own treatment protocol immediately, certainly within 5 days of exposure or symptoms

So is the WHO going counter recommended because more than half the drug in the 3rd world is salt water being sold as a drug. How in the hell would one know the efficacy / effectiveness of the drug Remdesivir vs studies with people who it is believed they got Remdesivir?
The clinics that use the drug are most likely in Canada and the US, all the other numbers should probably be tossed before the WHO makes any deturmination of non off the black market drug.

You have to be sure that these overseas sources are giving you the real thing, not fake ones.
What was the fake stuff made with....perhaps there was a genuine treatment in the fake stuff? LOL!
I’m not sure what the “surprise” part is. That 10 died, or that more than 100 others didn’t? And in a country of about 1.4 billion people, I don’t think anything involving about 1,200 people means anything meaningful.
What this seems to be telling me is we could be underestimating the human body’s ability to fight the disease on its own for MOST people, with or without a drug.

That simply can’t be true as multiple anti-vaxxers have stated that Remdesavir is safer than the vaccines.
Based upon this article it appears to be no more effective than a placebo.
So REmdesavir is not safe and it’s not effective.
Possibly, but if this was to be taken as statistically meaningful, that would mean a 10% death rate from getting COVID, with or without taking a drug. I don’t think anybody believes that, and certainly nobody wants that.
