The common assumption on the right is that Joe Biden has been endlessly rehearsing answers to questions that will be asked by friendly reporters when President Biden holds his first-ever presidential press conference. But his response to a question shouted out to him yesterday raises a couple of alternative possibilities to consider. According to Peter Doocy, the White House correspondent for Fox News, "[s]omebody shouted out to Biden 'how are you getting ready for your press conference' and he said: 'What press conference?'"File photo: Gage Skidmore.Watch as Doocy stated so:Tomorrow is going to be hilarious. https://t.co/lQsfHC0CpX— The Columbia Bugle 🇺🇸...

Having flung himself headlong into the frenetic world of Silicon Valley start-ups, Prince Harry could be forgiven for taking one of the five 'inner work days' allotted to staff by his generous new employer and enjoying some time out to 'completely unplug' and 'self-reflect'. For the past couple of months, the Prince has been working as 'Chief Impact Officer' at BetterUp, a US-based professional coaching and mental health app. And while the 36-year-old's brand-new fancy job title and rumoured seven-figure salary have been 'specially crafted' for him by the company's CEO, the fast-paced, cut-throat profession he has entered is not...

South Dakota's governor has been attacked as 'cowardly' by the right for her partial veto of a bill banning transgender women from girls' sports - a move which shocked supporters of the rising Republican star, and dismayed many of her constituents. Kristi Noem, the telegenic 49-year-old rodeo fan, widely believed to have presidential ambitions, sent the bill back to the state legislature on Friday. The Women's Fairness in Sports bill is intended to ban biological males from competing in girls' sports at public schools, and was championed by the governor earlier this month while she commemorated International Women's Day.

"Saturday Night Live" may have found its new "President Biden" in the form of one of its most famous alumni. Comedian Dana Carvey appeared on CBS' "The Late Show" Tuesday night and demonstrated his impression of the new president. "I do him at the town hall, when he's like the gentle father to the country and he looks like the alien who came off the space ship in 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind,'" Carvey explained to host Stephen Colbert.

The Secret Service tried to intervene in a police investigation in 2018 after Hunter Biden's then-girlfriend, his brother's widow Hallie, threw a gun she'd found in his car into a grocery store trash can because she thought he was going to kill himself with it. The bizarre incident was revealed by Politico on Thursday. Hallie had been searching Hunter's truck because she had 'suspicions'. She found a .38 revolver then drove to the Janssen's Market, a grocery store in Wilmington, where she threw the gun away. She had wrapped it in a black shopping bag and put it in a...

The giant cargo ship wedged across the Suez Canal is blocking shipments worth an estimated $9.5billion per day including food and oil which will have an 'enormous' impact on the world economy, experts have warned. At least 150 ships are now stuck in the logjam caused by 200,000-ton cargo ship Ever Given which ran aground in the narrow channel on Tuesday, with goods worth $29billion already held up. The effect has been felt on world markets as the price of crude oil shot up 6 per cent on Wednesday, reversing months of often-record falls caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather said Wednesday on CNN’s “Tonight” that it is common sense to have a similar process for getting a driver’s license or a gun. When asked about gun legislation, Rather said, “Poll after poll shows a rather sizable majority of Americans in favor of having, say, a delay in when you can buy a gun, a three-day delay. You buy it, you pick it up two or three days later, together with background checks. This is very popular. But year after year, decade after decade, it doesn’t get put into law. What is needed is...

A representative from Arizona has requested that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) strip benefits from any service member and veteran who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, according to a Monday report from Business Insider. Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego, of Arizona, a Marine Corps veteran, wrote in a letter last Thursday that those veterans and service members “simply don’t deserve” the VA benefits. Gallego cited reporting that suggests “nearly 20% of the insurrectionists were either veterans or military retirees.” According to an NPR analysis in January, nearly 1 in 5 people charged in the riot appear to have...

he city of Oakland is on track for a grim-record-breaking year in murders. The police union attributes the deadly violence to a number of factors. This city has currently experienced close to three times as many people killed.

Former Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell yesterday responded to the $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit that Dominion Voting Systems filed after she repeatedly accused the company of participating in an elaborate international conspiracy to deny Donald Trump his rightful victory in last year's presidential election. Her defense, more or less, is that she did not really mean what she said. True, Powell claimed over and over again that Dominion rigged voting machines to manufacture "millions" of votes for Joe Biden. She fingered a specific Dominion executive as largely responsible for the scheme, claimed the plot had its roots in fraud-facilitating software...

LATEST REPORTS FROM CHARLESTON. WASHINGTON, Saturday, March 23. I have just received a dispatch from a gentleman in Charleston who visited Fort Sumpter this morning. He states that he found Major ANDERSON taking an inventory of everything preparatory to evacuating the post. He is, it seems, allowed to exercise his own judgment as to the method of leaving. The Baltimore Exchange publishes the following, saying that it is from an officer stationed at Fort Sumpter, and may be implicitly relied on: FORT SUMPTER March 18, 1861. We are now making active preparations to leave, and there is consequently much bustle...

VP encouraged 7,000-strong migrant caravan in 2018, compared ICE to KKK Vice President Kamala Harris, who less than a year ago expressed support for decriminalizing illegal border crossings, will spearhead the White House's response to the crisis at the southern border. President Joe Biden said Wednesday that he can "think of nobody who is better qualified" to handle the situation than Harris, who he said "speaks for me." The decision comes as the White House struggles to deal with a historic surge in border apprehensions. U.S. Border Patrol agents are currently detaining more than 600 unaccompanied migrant children per day,...

Biden officials and gun control activists discussed the idea, according to the New York Times, as well as other executive actions that could tackle gun rights nationwide.

“Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men” (Philippians 4:5). Real humility will have a forbearance that is gracious toward others and content with its own circumstances. Some Greek words have various meanings that are hard to translate into just one English word. This is true of “forbearing” in today’s verse. It can refer to contentment, gentleness, generosity, or goodwill toward others. Some commentators say it means having leniency toward the faults and failures of others. Other scholars say it denotes someone who is patient and submissive toward injustice and mistreatment—one who doesn’t lash back in angry bitterness. It...

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer likened basic election integrity measures such as voter ID to the Jim Crow era, accusing the GOP of attempting to suppress voters. Schumer blasted Republican state legislatures for pursuing basic election integrity measures, calling it “infuriating” and accusing Republicans of being “afraid” of democracy and trying to prevent people from voting. “Some of these voter suppression laws in Georgia and other Republican states smack of Jim Crow rearing its ugly head once again. It is 160 years since the 13, 14, and 15th amendments abolished slavery, and Jim Crow stills seems to be with us,”...

In our times of trial and temptation, Satan comes to us bringing lies: “You’re surrounded now and there is no way out. You’re a failure, otherwise you wouldn’t be going through this. There’s something wrong with you and God is sorely displeased.” In the midst of his trial, Hezekiah acknowledged his helplessness. The king realized he had no strength to stop the voices raging at him, voices of discouragement, threats and lies. He knew he couldn’t deliver himself from the battle, so he sought the Lord for help. And God answered by sending the prophet Isaiah to Hezekiah. Hezekiah had...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Psalm 14Psalm 14 For the director of music. Of David. 1 The fool[a] says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. 2 The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 3 All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one. 4 Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call...
