While there are plenty of people whose lives have been thrown into chaos by the lockdowns imposed on us in the name of protecting against Covid, the “free money” sent out without a single Republic vote in Congress went to a lot of people who didn’t really need it. The checks amount to Democrats buying votes, so why should they limit the purchase to the truly needy?A report from Goldman Sachs, which watches financial flows closely, stated (via MarketWatch):“These payments may be making their way into mutual funds and ETFs, as well as other assets,” the Goldman analysts wrote. “All...

He deserves a few lines or even a few pages in history books, but he was so mediocre as a person and so unremarkable as a politician that it would be difficult for him to leave any kind of a mark in history. He needed constant doctors' supervision, and all the places where he lived were equipped with medical devices. He was slowly dying before the eyes of the whole world.Of course, his painful condition began to reflect on his ability to rule the country. He was forced to often interrupt his duties or shift them to a constantly growing staff of...

Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” Luke 11:2Prayer begins when we realize who it is that we approach, and what our relative relationship to Him is. The epistle to the Hebrews puts it this way, “Without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for those who come to God must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarder of those who seek him…” (Hebrews 11:6Thus the opening of the Lord’s prayer, (the...

Four men described as leaders of the far-right Proud Boys have been charged in the U.S. Capitol riot, as an indictment ordered unsealed on Friday presents fresh evidence of how federal officials believe group members planned and carried out a coordinated attack to stop Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s electoral victory. So far, at least 19 leaders, members or associates of the neo-fascist Proud Boys have been charged in federal court with offenses related to the Jan. 6 riot. The latest indictment suggests the Proud Boys deployed a much larger contingent in Washington, with over 60 users “participating in”...

Considering the list of human rights atrocities China has committed, namely the current genocide against the Muslim Uyghurs minorities, it was maddening to hear that they dared to lecture the United States in our handling of race and human rights in what was just a preview to the main event between Chinese and United States top officials. Remarks included: On human rights, we hope that the United States will do better on human rights. China has made steady progress in human rights, and the fact is that there are many problems within the United States regarding human rights, which is...

Protesters came to bury Gov. Andrew Cuomo — and to praise him — at dueling Manhattan rallies Saturday. Lindsey Boylan, the first female accuser whose allegations of sexual harassment while a member of Cuomo’s staff lit the fuse on the ongoing effort to oust him, led demands for his impeachment in Washington Square Park. “Abuse does not confine itself to one person or one area,” Boylan told a crowd of about 100 activists. “Someone who abuses their power doesn’t just do it to one woman or one community. They do it on some level to every person and every community.”...

Between 622,800 to 968,800 people in Wuhan had COVID-19 by April 2020, and the first case emerged between mid-October and mid-November 2019, according to two new studies. “6·92 percent of a cross-sectional sample of the population of Wuhan developed antibodies against SARS-CoV-2, with 39·8 percent of this population seroconverting to have neutralising antibodies,” wrote the first research group on The Lancet on Thursday. “Our results define the period between mid-October and mid-November 2019 as the plausible interval when the first case of SARS-CoV-2 emerged in Hubei Province,” the second research group posted on Science magazine on March 18. A synopsis of world history paints a dark picture of humanity rife with mankind’s inhumanity. The weak have always been a prey and even the strong have fallen. The animal kingdom is a suitable allegory for what usually takes in the world: the strong and ruthless prevail. Indeed, for man himself is a beast, and so much more to the extent that conscience lacking. As it is written, "Man that is in honor, and understands not, is like the beasts that perish." -- Psalm 49:20. And again, "I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men,...

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has sent back to the legislature a hotly contested bill on transgender athletes, asking lawmakers for changes and startling those who view the Republican as an ally in their fight to keep biological males out of women’s sports. The Republican Noem issued a “style-and-form” veto of House Bill 1217, suggesting four changes over concerns that “this bill’s vague and overly broad language could have significant unintended consequences.” “I support this legislation and hope that House Bill 1217, with the changes I am proposing, becomes law,” she said in a Friday statement. Her decision to seek...

All persons who are involved in organizing the political persecution of fifth president of Ukraine, MP (the European Solidarity faction) Petro Poroshenko, will sooner or later be held accountable for this, the lawyers of the MP said during a briefing at Interfax-Ukraine. That uninviting outer fencing around the U.S. Capitol will reportedly come down in the coming days after it’s made a mockery of the principles this country was founded upon for more than two months. Acting House Sergeant-at-Arms Timothy Blodgett issued a memo on Friday announcing that the Capitol architect and the U.S. Capitol Police together “will remove the outer perimeter fencing around the Capitol complex sooner than initially anticipated.” CNN reported that the move could come as early as this weekend, said Blodgett. The man told lawmakers that “there does not exist a known, credible threat against Congress or the...

Fox News host Steve Hilton said Friday that President Joe Biden’s gaffes and stumbles prove, “He’s not in charge.” “The capacity of our commander-in-chief is a vital public issue. It’s not just this gaffe, there’s one of these almost every day where he seems to forget where he is or what he’s doing, he stumbles and mumbles,” Hilton said on Fox News’ “The Faulkner Focus.” We’ve known for months that Joe Biden was not all there. Yet the Democrats put this senile old man up as their candidate. It didn’t matter. They could have put up a stuffed teddy bear,...
