As congressional Democrats from New York called en masse for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign amid mounting sexual harassment claims, White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Friday stuck to a wait-and-see approach. Psaki said that although President Biden supports each of the Democratic governor’s six accusers having the right “to tell her story,” the White House would await the results of a review led by New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office. “The president believes that every woman who’s come forward — there have now been six, I believe, who have come forward — deserves to have her voice...

A former Albany statehouse reporter is now the seventh woman to publicly accuse Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment — detailing on Friday instances of unwanted touching and humiliating comments she endured while covering his administration. Jessica Bakeman says she was sexually harassed by Cuomo several times since the start of her journalism career in 2012. In a first-person piece for New York Magazine, she described a 2014 holiday party in which the governor gripped her tightly as she went to say goodbye for the night.

Since Hong Kong began vaccinating the public with the China’s domestically-produced Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, CoronaVac, on Feb. 26, three deaths in nine days have increased anxiety about the vaccine’s safety. On March 8, a 71-year-old man in Hong Kong died four days after receiving his vaccine shot. The patient was reported to be in good health before the vaccination. This was the third death in nine days in Hong Kong following a CoronaVac injection. It’s unclear whether the vaccine contributed to the deaths. Authorities have said they are investigating the causes of death. The first known death in Hong Kong...

READING, Pa. (AP) — The state of Pennsylvania will pay $475,000 to the estate of a man who died underneath a bulldozer that Pennsylvania State Police had used to chase him for growing a handful of marijuana plants, according to a settlement revealed in court Thursday. Gregory Longenecker, a 51-year-old short-order cook and Grateful Dead fan, had fled into thick brush after being caught growing 10 marijuana plants on public land near Reading. His body was found under the treads of a Pennsylvania Game Commission bulldozer that state police had commandeered in pursuit. The lawsuit by Longenecker’s family contended that...

Sadiq Khan has conceded that, under his now almost five-year-long mayoralty, the streets of London are “not safe” for women and girls. Mayor Khan, who under the terms of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 fulfils the role of Police and Crime Commissioner in the British capital — excluding, somewhat confusingly for outsiders, the City of London, or Square Mile, which has its own police force — made the comments in an appearance on LBC radio. “London’s streets are not safe for women, are they?” the presenter asked the Labour politician, following news that a serving Metropolitan Police...

A Hobson's Choice is defined as "an apparently free choice when there is no real alternative" You will remember that Derek Chauvin was the Minneapolis cop who was charged for the murder of George Floyd. The Hennepin County Da has taken the shotgun approach to the case, charging Chauvin with every conceivably connected crime that could be mustered in the hope that something sticks. Recently a third degree murder charge, which has been dropped, was reinstated. This indicates that the DA is not terribly confident in the case. There would be good reason for that. "I can't breathe" became the...

Move by Washington will make it more difficult for ISIS-Mozambique and its leader to fund the insurgency in gas-rich Cabo Delgado province The US government has designated the militants behind the Islamist insurgency in gas-rich Mozambique as a terrorist organisation and placed its leader, a Tanzanian national, on its terrorist watch list. This decision is significant and reflects how the new administration of President Joe Biden, compared to his predecessor Donald Trump, is moving fast to try to cut off funding avenues to militant organisations throughout Africa. The US State Department has also placed ISIS-Democratic Republic of Congo and its...

“Everything about this bill is rotten to the core. This is a bill as if written in hell by the devil himself.” So says Republican Senator Mike Lee about the Democrats’ H.R.1 election reform legislation that promises to make permanent the 2020 election’s unprecedented use of mass mail-in balloting — implemented with few voter authentication checks and done in the name of a health emergency — that miraculously placed President Popsicle (because he’s cold on the inside and 90% artificial) into the White House.Watching Lee fret about the Democrats’ planned takeover of elections is a bit like watching a child...

Wyoming lawmakers will continue to discuss proposed election changes endorsed by Donald Trump Jr. for their potential to undermine U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney, but not for next year as originally planned. A legislative committee voted Thursday to delay the proposal for what would be Wyoming’s first primary runoffs from as soon as 2022 to no sooner than 2024. Local election officials told lawmakers they wouldn’t have enough time to make both the election changes and required adjustments to legislative district boundaries next year. “It’s too big of a lift in a redistricting year,” Mary Lankford with the Wyoming County Clerks...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Friday confirmed that she’s keeping Rep. Eric Swalwell on the House Intelligence Committee despite questions swirling about his relationship with Chinese spy Fang Fang, who seduced US politicians as part of her work. Pelosi previously reappointed the fellow California Democrat to the House Homeland Security Committee over Republican objections.

A conservative watchdog uncovered more compelling information about the 2020 election that may have cost President Trump electors in at least one state. The news comes out of Nevada, where over 92,000 mail-in ballots were sent to wrong or outdated addresses, with most of the problems seen in Clark County, which covers most of Las Vegas. Due to fears of COVID-19, the county sent mail-in ballots in mass to “active” voters on the voter rolls for the 2020 election. And as expected, Clark County had insurmountable issues with their election process. Dead people voting. People voting multiple times.

When former Clinton adviser Dick Morris was asked by Dr. Sebastian Gorka what he expected when Joe Headroom, aka Joe Biden sauntered to the podium in front of what must have been the world’s largest teleprompter. Morris said Biden would be the rooster taking credit for Trump’s dawn. That was a prescient prediction. Citing history from some parallel universe, Biden did not mention it was Trump’s Operation Warp Speed that produced the three vaccines Biden takes credit for. Science produced the vaccines, to be sure, but it was businessman Trump who mobilized the industrial, logistical, and medical supply chains that...

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Notre Dame Student Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee sent a newsletter celebrating Women’s History month by ignoring arguably the most esteemed attorney the school has ever produced, Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett (who happens to be a woman). The publication pictures every other female Supreme Court Justice in the history of the country. There is no mention of Barrett, who not only graduated summa cum lade from the Notre Dame Law School, she also taught at the school for nearly two decades and was named the “distinguished professor of the year” on 3...

Antifa terrorists set the federal courthouse in Portland on fire Thursday night – AGAIN. The same media that breathlessly reported on the *unarmed* January 6 “insurrection” is completely silent on Antifa lighting a federal courthouse on fire.

In a recent Manhattan Contrarian article, my dad pointed out that, by their own admission, the worst racists in our country are academics in our elite colleges and universities. Even as they make more and more efforts to improve their “diversity and inclusion” with committees, trainings, seminars, course curriculums, and town halls — just to name a few — by their own assessment, this has only resulted in more “systemic racism,” “oppression,” and “white supremacy.” Since that’s the case, it is time to question whether the model of elite-institutions-practicing-diversity-and-inclusion can ever bring society even one step closer to racial harmony...
