Most Americans hate woke politics — and most minorities don’t share “woke” priorities. Indeed, according to pollster David Shor, woke excesses are causing black voters to flee the Democratic Party. Despite endless charges of “racism,” former President Donald Trump took the biggest share of minority voters of any Republican in my lifetime. Woke tyrants ride high, even so; according to a Cato/YouGov poll, 62 percent of Americans self-censor their political expression. Only a tiny minority of consumers care about Mr. Potato Head’s toxic masculinity, about “Aunt Jemima” as a brand or about the #MeToo aggressions of Pepé Le Pew. Yet...

CLAIM: Coronavirus was met with “silence” and “denials” a year ago, which “led to more deaths.” VERDICT: MOSTLY FALSE. China denied responsibility, but President Donald Trump acted immediately — partly over Joe Biden’s objections. President Joe Biden addressed the nation from the White House for the first time on Thursday night to mark the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus shutdown that was announced by then-President Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Biden began by suggesting Trump was to blame: “A year ago, we were hit with a virus, that was met with silence. It spread unchecked. Denials for days, weeks,...

Vatican says general absolution still permissible during pandemicVATICAN CITY (CNS) — Offering general absolution to the faithful without having them personally confess their sins first may still be done in places seeing serious or increasing levels of coronavirus infections, a Vatican official said. While “individual confession remains the ordinary way of celebrating this sacrament,” serious situations caused by the pandemic can be considered cases of “grave necessity,” which allow for other solutions, said Msgr. Krzysztof Nykiel, regent of the Apostolic Penitentiary, a Vatican court dealing with matters of conscience.Collective absolution, without prior individual confession, cannot be imparted except where there is...

I wanted to purchase a new saute pan to replace my old one. My cooking gear is very important to me, so I did a lot of research until I chose the pot I wanted. And then I found this very expensive pot ON SALE! Whoo-hoo! I tried to order the pot on Wayfair, only to find that other pot connoisseurs had beaten me to all available stock at that terrific sale price. I'd have to wait for the next shipment. That date kept changing, getting delayed. I did some searching and found the pot was also being sold at...

Following the end of GOV Abbott's mandate, the local school district here in Comal County, TX (Comal ISD), has voted to make masks in the classroom optional. The School Board voted 5-2 for this measure. The blow-back against the board has impacted me personally -- I'll leave it at that. At any rate, the leftists started a petition at Change.org to reverse this decision. In response, a petition was started to show support for the board. As of this writing, the pro-mask mandate is ahead 2,065 to 563 (they did have a head-start). These numbers certainly don't reflect the local...

Explanation: Just after sunset on March 7, a faint band of light still reaches above the western horizon in this serene, rural Illinois, night skyscape. Taken from an old farmstead, the luminous glow is zodiacal light, prominent in the west after sunset during planet Earth's northern hemisphere spring. On that clear evening the band of zodiacal light seems to engulf bright yellowish Mars and the Pleiades star cluster. Their close conjunction is in the starry sky above the old barn's roof. Zodiacal light is sunlight scattered by interplanetary dust particles that lie near the Solar System's ecliptic plane. Of course...

JERUSALEM — The United States has paid little attention to Lebanon in recent years. And that needs to change fast. ALL ISRAEL NEWS Editor-in-Chief Joel Rosenberg warns that if U.S. President Joe Biden renews his country’s participation in the Iranian nuclear deal, thousands of missiles could rain down on Israel from Lebanon. “Biden strikes me as more desperate than Iran to get back into the deal. This has all the makings of emboldening the terror masters in Tehran… I think Tehran is getting ready to attack Israel.” So what does this have to do with Lebanon? In an interview with...

Fairfax County Public Schools is facing a second lawsuit over changes officials made last year to the admissions process at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, its flagship STEM magnet school. The suit, filed in federal court Wednesday, alleges the changes are discriminatory against Asian Americans and therefore violate the equal protection clause of the U.S. Constitution. Some of the plaintiffs are also part of the initial lawsuit. Thomas Jefferson High, known as TJ, often ranks as the best public high school in the nation — but is also nationally known for struggling to admit Black and Hispanic...

What you’re going to read about today is on one hand typical for the Marxist state of California, and on the other utterly shocking and so worthy of the end times mentioned in Revelation. Imagine an American state where Christian prayer in schools is both banned and vilified, with a university school curriculum that has students chanting to pagan Aztec gods of cannibalism and human sacrifice. “Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.” Habakkuk 1:5 (KJB) The radical...

If you’ve ever read Lord of the Flies, The Rise and the Fall of the Third Reich or 1984, you understand the threat to life and limb that unrestrained power can be. Lord Acton distilled the danger down to a simple phrase: “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Our Founding Fathers knew that, which is why they crafted for us the greatest document ever written by men. The Constitution they gave us had built into it a variety of checks and balances on government or any branch of government accumulating too much power. They gave us the Connecticut Compromise, which balanced representation...

For the most part, Fox News’ lineup is stacked with ratings winners. Tucker Carlson, of course, dominates everyone in every timeslot, but other shows like The Five and Primetime also routinely beat their competition. Hannity and The Ingraham Angle fight a tug of war on a weekly basis for the top spot in their timeslots as well. But there’s one show that consistently gets crushed. That would be Neil Cavuto’s early afternoon program. He’s the exception to the rule, where even Fox News’ show without a host (Primetime) wins its timeslot handily. But there’s one show that consistently gets crushed....

Danish officials cited an unspecified number of reports of severe cases of blood clots in people who received the vaccine, including one person in Denmark who died. “It cannot be concluded whether there is a link between the vaccine and the blood clots,” the Danish health authority said. Norway cited Denmark’s decision, saying it also doesn’t have evidence to connect the health incidents to vaccination but was acting out of caution to halt use of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Iceland also cited the cases in Denmark for its suspension. Danish authorities said the European Medicines Agency—which acts much like the Food...
