A group described by Reuters as “former Republican officials,” numbering as many as “dozens,” is reportedly seeking to form a new, “center-right” alternative to the current Republican Party — one without the influence of Donald Trump. Reuters reported Wednesday: Dozens of former Republican officials, who view the party as unwilling to stand up to former President Donald Trump and his attempts to undermine U.S. democracy, are in talks to form a center-right breakaway party, four people involved in the discussions told Reuters. The early stage discussions include former elected Republicans, former officials in the Republican administrations of Ronald Reagan, George...

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi interrupted a reporter on Thursday and said she won’t answer questions regarding former President Donald Trump’s impeachment. A reporter began asking Pelosi about the impeachment trial in the Senate during Pelosi’s press conference before she interrupted him, video shows. “May I just, may I just, before you spend any more time on it, I have not said anything, you haven’t heard me talk about impeachment in the past weeks leading up to this,” Pelosi said, interrupting the reporter. “They are making the case.” “I’m not going to be responding to what happened yesterday or what might...

A Louisiana man who thought “Gorilla Glue Girl” Tessica Brown was “lying” ended up in the emergency room himself after he applied the powerful adhesive to his lip. As House Democrats lay out their impeachment case against President Trump before the U.S. Senate, critics say their accusations ring hollow. That's because Democratic lawmakers, including several members of the impeachment team, have used similar rhetoric in the past, including the phrase "fight like hell". One House Democrat actually vowed to "fight like hell" against Trump during the House's impeachment hearing. Others even called previous elections stolen, which is one of the points they've attempted to make against Trump. For example, House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin issued a challenge against certifying President Trump's 2016 electoral win. Sen. Rand Paul of...

Acknowledging the growing anxiety many seniors have had in getting COVID-19 vaccines, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s administration is directing more resources to help older residents make appointments and get transportation. Seniors are most at risk for serious complications from the coronavirus. The PA Link to Aging and Disability Resources is deploying more staff to help seniors with scheduling appointments for vaccines or finding transportation. The PA Link hotline: 1-800-753-8827. The state’s PACE program, which helps...

On December 29, Harris County (TX) physician Hasan Gokal decided not to waste ten vaccine doses for the Wuhan virus. Nationwide, tens of thousands of doses of the vaccine have been lost; 1,200 are known to have been wasted in Western Massachusetts alone. In a sane part of the country, his initiative would have been applauded. Once a vial of vaccine is punctured, medical staff have a matter of a few hours to use it, or it must be thrown away. Unfortunately for Dr. Sokal, he was in Harris County, TX. For his efforts, he was arrested, lost his job,...

LEVIN: We are watching one of the stupidest events by some of the stupidest people in American history. We have a man who slept with a Chinese spy as one of the House Democrat managers. We have Raskin, who was one of the most-loud opponents in one of the recent past elections of certifying the electors. We have a political party that cheered on Antifa and Black Lives Matter and called federal law enforcement storm troopers. Where is the video of Trump over and over again supporting law enforcement, law and order, videos of the police groups endorsing Trump for...

Donald Trump liked to say that he only hires the best people, but that’s doing a disservice to Democrats. Because they’re clearly just as adept as he is when it comes to judging their people’s competence:

I’m Jewish. I don’t feel “denigrated” by Gina Carano’s recent statement. Shame on Disney/Lucasfilm for firing her!By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)February 11, 2021Gina Carano, actress on the TV series The Mandalorian, recently posted the following on TikTok:“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors… even by children.”“Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating...

One of the most powerful videos you’ll see surrounding this impeachment cycle is a spliced up (or “doctored”) meme of Democrat impeachment managers claiming Donald J. Trump incited an insurrection. Instead of showing the clips Democrats used in the Senate, however, the meme splices in proof of Democrats doing precisely what they accuse President Trump of doing. The mash-up, made by AceSix4Films, reveals years of violent rhetoric, election denialism, and the stoking of political tensions by the very same Democrats now seeking to impeach Trump for “inciting an insurrection.” Please watch and share.

Leaders of prominent gun control groups said Wednesday they expect to see substantive action from President Biden on the issue in the near future after a meeting with White House officials. “President Biden is committed to taking executive action and working with Congress to put in place reforms that will keep this country’s kids and communities safe,” said Peter Ambler, executive director of the group Giffords. “Today’s meeting was a strong affirmation of that commitment.” Mr. Ambler and other leaders met virtually with Susan Rice, who leads the White House Domestic Policy Council, and Cedric Richmond, director of the White...

I’ve been dismissive of this kabuki impeachment drama from the beginning because all of the truths that the Democrats hold dear in their quest to banish Trump from wherever, forever aren’t true. In no way, shape, or form did President Trump incite a riot. The Democrats are employing a familiar tactic of theirs that involves the repetition of a falsehood so many times that not only does the public begin to believe it, but so do the people who are telling the lie. Enough already, you malevolent dimwits. A classic example of the above mentioned tactic occurred when Democrats introduced...

This won't take long. Gina Carano portrays the character Cara Dune in the Mandalorian series currently running on Disney Plus. Or rather, she did. Carano has been fired from the series because she veered off the official Disney state path. She dared to have her own opinions. Actress Gina Carano has been booted off “The Mandalorian” after she penned a social media post that compared being a Republican to being Jewish in Nazi Germany. The former MMA fighter — who played Cara Dune in the hit Disney+ show — was also dumped by United Talent Agency (UTA), Variety reported. “Gina...

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – The chip shortages slowing car production are a symptom of broader increased demand that is placing strains on suppliers across the semiconductor sector, according to Dutch equipment maker ASML. One of ASML’s top executives said that higher demand for most types of computer chips — including those considered one step below cutting edge — looks stronger and more permanent than most players in the industry, including ASML, had expected when the coronavirus pandemic began. “I think all over the place…the demand to our customers — so the semiconductor manufacturers — I would say that all over the...

MINI NUCLEAR REACTORS OFFER PROMISE OF CHEAPER, CLEAN POWER Reactor makers are pitching smaller, modular systems that produce limitless emissions-free energy—but they may not be an easy sell The pitch: small modular reactors, or SMRs, that can be housed in compact containment structures and operate safely with less shielding and oversight. SMRs could allow power plants to shed their huge hourglass-shaped cooling towers and, in some designs, the reactors would be immersed in water to prevent overheating. Utilities could retrofit existing power plants by substituting climate-friendly SMRs for aging, climate-unfriendly coal- or gas-fired burners, boosters say. SMRs could also power...

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games chief Yoshiro Mori is expected to resign Thursday after he sparked equal measures of outrage and blushes in Japan by claiming women talk too much in meetings. The decision comes after a torrent of criticism from politicians to sports stars at a time the already delayed event is still under a cloud due to the global coronavirus pandemic. Mori, an 83-year-old former prime minister known for public gaffes, allegedly told members of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) “board of directors meetings with many women take a lot of time.” “When you increase the number of female...
