Charisma Carpenter on Wednesday posted a lengthy message on social media in which she accused Joss Whedon of "hostile and toxic" behavior on the sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff, Angel. "For nearly two decades, I have held my tongue and even made excuses for certain events that traumatize me to this day," she began. "Joss Whedon abused his power on numerous occasions while working together on the sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel," she wrote of the show creator. "The disturbing incidents triggered a chronic physical condition from which I still suffer. It is...

The CDC has admitted that between 1955–1963 over 98 million Americans received one or more doses of a polio shot which was contaminated with a cancer-causing virus called Simian vacuolating virus 40 (SV40). The CDC quickly took down the page, along with Google, but the site was luckily cached and saved to symbolize this grand admission....

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said that from the evidence coming out about the Capitol riot, it appears that congressional leadership had been aware of the planned attack ahead of time, but "did nothing" about it.

Charging that Executive Order 13990 issued by President Biden “is in contravention of Article II Section 2 and the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution,” Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt issued his own executive order this week to, in effect, nullify it. Governor Stitt is a Republican, elected in 2018. His order is challenging Biden’s order as “adverse to energy producers throughout the United States and Oklahoma. His decision terminates the Keystone XL pipeline and claims to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord while failing to seek ratification by the U.S. Senate.” According to the U.S. Constitution, a presidential agreement with...

At least three people in Rego Park, in Queens, have been jumped upon and bitten by a possibly deranged squirrel New York City is not known for hair-raising animal experiences – save for the odd pizza-loving rat – but one city neighborhood is being subjected to an unwelcome slice of the wild by being terrorized by a highly aggressive squirrel. At least three people in Rego Park, in the borough of Queens, have been jumped upon and bitten by the possibly deranged squirrel in recent weeks. The tree-based rodent’s reign of terror has made some people in the area afraid...

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A surprise visitor went on the attack at a Tucson petting zoo, leaving more than a dozen animals dead. Kenneth MacNeil, the owner of the Tucson Petting Zoo and Funny Foot Farm, said when he arrived at work, he found 18 chickens, two ducks and a lamb dead. “The fences are considered no-climb fences, but unfortunately bobcats can make it over it,” MacNeil said. “I wasn’t mad at the bobcat because he belongs here more than we do.” MacNeil said he immediately began making changes to the farm to better protect the animals, but...

People with elevated levels of “forever chemicals,” a group of harmful contaminants that have been found in some area drinking water systems, are more likely to be admitted to the intensive care unit or die if they become infected with COVID-19, a recent Harvard University study found. Certain elements among the contaminants, collectively known as PFAS, tend to attack the lungs, similar to the coronavirus. The findings suggest that more studies are needed to determine if elevated exposure to such contaminants may worsen coronavirus outcomes, according to Harvard. Dr. Steven Burdette, medical director of infection control at Miami Valley Hospital,...

The cleric issued his comments as Tehran began a national immunization campaign. As Iran began inoculating citizens against COVID-19, an Iranian cleric told followers that the vaccine will turn them into "homosexuals," which in Iran is considered an offense punishable by death. "Don't go near those who have had the COVID vaccine," Ayatollah Abbas Tabrizian wrote on his Telegram social media platform on Tuesday, according to the Jerusalem Post. "They have become homosexuals." Tabrizian issued his warning as health officials in Tehran rolled out an effort to immunize people via the Russian made Sputnik V vaccine. SNIP Still, the Qom-based...

Ohio’s public school districts should come up with a plan to address learning loss by April 1, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said in a coronavirus briefing on Tuesday. The ask comes a week after the Ohio Department of Education publicized a report which showed losses for Fall 2020 in both kindergarten readiness and third-grade English language arts scores, two landmark state assessments used to guide a student’s future. The report showed almost half of the students for the literacy and language sections of the kindergarten tests scored “not on track” and proficiency rates in third-grade tests dropped 8 percentage points....

Just after midnight this day in 1956, Wilbert Coffin hanged for murdering three American tourists — a case that has since entered Canadian annals as a paradigmatic wrongful execution. The aptly-named Coffin affair saw the prospector sent up on an entirely circumstantial case. Under the pressure of losing tourist dollars to breathless coverage in the U.S., and with the aid of a desultory defense attorney, the Coffin case was rushed along to completion. Though sympathy in Gaspe seems to have been considerable, its elevation to cause celebre was likewise bound up in Quebec politics, pushed by foes of powerful, unscrupulous...

WASHINGTON - The National Transportation Safety Board revealed the likely cause of the deadly helicopter crash that took the lives of nine Southern California residents, including NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter on Tuesday. During Tuesday’s board meeting, the NTSB was critical of veteran pilot Ara Zobayan's actions in the final moments of the flight from when the aircraft entered the Van Nuys airspace to when it collided with the hilly terrain in Calabasas. "There were opportunities along the way to have reversed the course and prevented this crash by simply landing," NTSB Chairman Robert Sumwalt said. In...

In Great Britain, a group of hospitals has instructed midwives in their maternity departments to use different terms when treating transgender patients in order to be more “gender-inclusive,” substituting “chestfeeding” for “breastfeeding” and replacing “breastmilk” with ““human milk” or “breast/chestmilk” or “milk from the feeding mother or parent.” “Terms like ‘chestfeeding’ and ‘human milk’ are being introduced at an NHS trust in a bid to boost inclusivity,” Bristol Live reports. “Staff have been asked to use gender-neutral language alongside – not instead of – traditional terms to ensure that all groups are represented.” LBC reported of Brighton and Sussex University...

State and federal authorities are searching for a tractor-trailer in Texas that may be smuggling about 80 undocumented immigrants, and some of them may already be dead. It’s a desperate search for alleged victims of a human trafficking operation, trapped in the back of a tanker truck. The 911 call is difficult to listen to, one of several from someone alleging to be in the tanker with other immigrants. The caller said they were out of oxygen. The comments are translated from Spanish: Operator: “Do you see anything?” Caller: “No, no we can’t see anything, God, we don’t have oxygen.”...

Police officers monitoring dormitory halls, frequent inspections of student ID cards — these are among the measures being implemented in a dorm lockdown as UC Berkeley continues to grapple with a spike of COVID-19 cases on campus. First reported by the Daily Californian, the self-sequester mandate for UC Berkeley students living in the dormitories, originally intended to end Monday, has been extended for another week, with stricter security measures in place. “We don’t wish for residents to be alarmed by this increased UCPD presence, but we must ensure the health of our community,” an email sent out to students reads....

While several Republican senators are in agreement that former President Trump's legal team didn't hit their opening arguments out of the park on the first day of his second impeachment trial on Tuesday, those same Republicans don't appear to be convinced enough to have changed their minds. Forty-four Republicans still voted that the trial was unconstitutional, suggesting that the Democrats will not have the votes to convict Trump, now a private citizen. Even Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND), who called this "the stupidest week in the Senate," admitted the Democratic impeachment managers gave the superior presentation. But that won't change his...

It is rare when a political action can be legitimately labeled seditious and treasonous at the same time. If you ever wondered why the Durham investigation was last seen on the back of a milk carton and why no one involved in thee Russian collusion hoax and the deep state coup to depose the duly elected President Donald J. Trump has been indicted, consider the actions of William Barr, whom Trump economic adviser Peter Navarro, speaking on Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures show on Fox News, dubbed Trump’s last attorney general and Biden’s first. At the end of Trump’s first...
