Despite the rollout of Covid-19 vaccinations across the country, two of the nation’s top infectious disease experts say it’s too early for Americans to be making travel plans. “I want to emphasize that now is not a good time to be traveling, period, internationally or domestically,” said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), during a virtual CNN global town hall hosted by Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

PORTLAND, Ore. - The role that race should play in deciding who gets priority for the COVID-19 vaccine in the next phase of the rollout is being put to the test in Oregon as tensions around equity and access to the shots emerge nationwide. An advisory committee that provides recommendations to Oregon’s governor and public health authorities will vote Thursday on whether to prioritize people of color, target those with chronic medical conditions or focus on some combination of groups at higher risk from the coronavirus. Others, such as essential workers, refugees, inmates and people under 65 living in group...

Over the years, Democrats have shown a willingness to bend or break the rules to accomplish their goals. They’ve been ignoring federal law by shielding illegal aliens in their sanctuary cities. They made no effort to end, or even condemn the rioting by Antifa and BLM earlier in the year. And when coronavirus struck, yes, they exploited it to sow chaos in the election, but also to negate First Amendment guarantees through arbitrary and illegal lockdown decrees. There were allegations that they called for their supporters to move to Georgia so they can sway the senatorial races there. Maybe they’ve...

According to him, the proceedings were opened at the request of MP Andriy Derkach who was recently sanctioned by the U.S. On May 19,...

The media are reporting on what would seem to be an oxymoron: a “devout Catholic” who supports “abortion rights.” In this case, President Joe Biden. As the second U.S. president in history to identify as Catholic, Biden visibly practices his faith, from attending Mass to quoting St. Augustine at his inauguration. But there’s at least one area where he’s at odds with the Catholic Church: abortion. And the media, from NPR to NBC News, are fascinated by it. But in their reports about Biden, Catholicism, and abortion, they are missing an opportunity – a chance to delve into the pro-life position...

CHICAGO — U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney on Tuesday accused fellow Republicans of fomenting political division by perpetuating the myth that massive voter fraud denied Donald Trump reelection, and said unity will be difficult to achieve without acknowledging Democratic President Joe Biden won a fair contest. Romney, in a livestreamed interview with Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar on behalf of the Economic Club of Chicago, also said he shared hopes that the Jan. 6 uprising at the Capitol might lead to more bipartisanship but said there’s been no sign of any change in rhetoric.

WASHINGTON, Sunday, Jan. 27. The rumor was rife to-day that Gen. SCOTT had received new intelligence relative to designs on the Capital, by secession invaders, which causes him much anxiety. If it is so, he keeps the secret admirably, for no facts in support of the rumor can be ascertained. Mayor BERRET scouts the idea of any danger of an attack on this city, and says he has no intelligence denoting it, which he is confident he should have if the purpose existed. I understand from reliable authority that the President denies that the Brooklyn has gone to Charleston, but...

Gov. Andrew Cuomo was roasted for blaming COVID-19 deaths on “incompetent government” — without mentioning his own administration’s controversial nursing-home policy that’s been accused of leading to more than 8,700 senior deaths. During a Tuesday appearance on MSBNC, Cuomo accused former President Donald Trump of mishandling the pandemic, saying: “Incompetent government kills people. More people died than needed to die in COVID. That’s the truth.”

Rhode Island was ranked one of the worst states in the country for business under President Joe Biden’s nominee for secretary of commerce, Fox News reported. Under Rhode Island Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo, WalletHub ranked the state last on its 2019 “Best & Worst States To Start A Business” list and CNBC ranked it the 48th worst state for commerce on its 13th annual “America’s Top States For Business” guide in 2015, according to Fox News. The state faced an $800 million federal deficit at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Providence Journal reported in May 2020. Rhode Island’s...

A 2020 Joe Biden campaign ad described the pending election as an "opportunity to leave the dark, angry politics of the past behind us." After Biden's election, he, Democrats and media urge a "return to civility." But when did the Democrats practice the very civility to which they seek to return? Let's go to the videotape: When Barry Goldwater accepted the 1964 Republican nomination, California's Democratic Gov. Pat Brown said, "The stench of fascism is in the air." Former Rep. William Clay Sr., D-Mo., said President Ronald Reagan was "trying to replace the Bill of Rights with fascist precepts lifted...

Update: The Reddit subgroup WallStreetBets is back up this evening. What an amazing story! Reddit shut down its WallStreetBets subreddit page on Wednesday afternoon after rookie stock market investors in the general public joined together to purchase stock in targeted companies causing a major disruption in the stock market and resulting in several hedge funds to go bust. Of course, Reddit blamed “racism” and “hate speech” for removing the community. According to The Verge, Discord has banned the r/WallStreetBets server. Reddit’s WallStreetBets subreddit is the driver of an unprecedented rally of GameStop stock, and has received a great deal of...

A majority of Republicans – including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell – voted Wednesday that the impeachment trial of Donald Trump is unconstitutional. Senator Rand Paul forced a vote on the matter. In an op-ed written over the weekend, Paul (R-KY) called the impeachment process against the former President a “farce” and said it should be dismissed. “The Constitution says two things about impeachment — it is a tool to remove the officeholder, and it must be presided over by the chief justice of the Supreme Court,” he wrote. Neither of those elements exists in this case, as President Trump...

A Trump campaign advisor who promised to eat his shoe if Joe Biden won the election is now refusing to do so, making the false claim that former President Donald Trump won instead. Harlan Hill, a political consultant and commentator, made the bold promise to The Atlantic at Steve Bannon's election-night party on November 7, 2020. He said he was "one hundred percent" certain of Trump's victory and, when asked what he would do if Trump lost, he told the outlet: "I'll eat my shoe. We'll do it in a livestream." Following Biden's inauguration, Mediaite followed up on Hill's plans....

Army officials are investigating comments on social media by a Fort Hood chaplain who questioned whether transgender people are mentally unfit to serve in the military. The chaplain, Army Maj. Andrew Calvert, wrote the comments under a Facebook post from Army Times, a civilian publication, about President Joe Biden's recent order to reverse the ban on transgender people serving in the armed forces. "How is rejecting reality (biology) not evidence that a person is mentally unfit (ill), and thus making that person unqualified to serve,” Maj. Calvert apparently wrote on Monday under the Army Times post. "There is little difference...

To suggest the media has been exhibiting a distinct tremulous excitement upon the arrival of Joe Biden’s administration is to traffic in understatement. These arrested adolescents have been singing the praises of a new era in truth and respect for the media...all while lying consistently and behaving in disrespectful fashion. What has become quickly evident is that as they are shouting praise for a new adherence to the facts those who are struggling with a Biden arrival are the media fact-checkers. The past 4 years had been scintillating for these referees of verite’. They had a bumper crop of material...

One word we haven’t heard about Iran lately is “hard-liners.” That may be due to the fact that the Iran lobby in the US has not received its talking points and marching orders. In the old days of the lead-up to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or Iran deal, we were presented with a narrative of “a deal or war.” This bizarre and false story claimed that those who opposed a “deal” want war. No other country in the world requires a “deal” to stop it from deploying nuclear threats. Snip----- And what does Tehran want? Even Tehran doesn’t...
