Thursday on ABC’s “The View, co-host Meghan McCain said that “all Republicans and conservatives who still have clout” have to “invoke the 25th Amendment.” Reacting to the riot Wednesday on Capitol Hill, McCain said, “This is one of the great national tragedies of my lifetime. This is one of America’s darkest days. I have been absolutely despondent watching this. I’m here in D.C. As everyone knows, my sister-in-law works on Capitol Hill and the office door where she works, the window was busted out. I think that this is a good time to take a very hard look at where...

One of the more colorful invaders in Wednesday's assault on the Capitol is the son of a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge. Aaron Mostofsky, dressed in fur pelts and a police flak jacket streamed into the Capitol with hundreds of other pro-Trump protesters, is the son of Shlomo Mostofsky, a well-connected Orthodox politico who last year ascended to the Kings County Supreme Court. The connection, first reported by Gothamist, came after the younger Mostofsky became one of the most photographed participants in the impromptu raid.

At one point, one reporter asked if President Trump could face charges, to which Sherwin replied: “I don’t want to sound like broken record. We’re looking at all actors here.” “Anyone who had a role and where the evidence fits a crime,” he...

During any protest there are bad apples. Yesterday was a peaceful protest for the most part. But Republicans just can't wait to throw their own under the bus. This is why we will not win any more elections. We are on a battleground. The Republicans show up with their Bibles and Constitutions and eloquent op-eds. The Democrats show up with their lawyers, corrupt judges and brass knuckles. Trump showed up with his lawyers and brass knuckles and that is why he was so successful. You get what I am saying? We will always lose that battle. And yesterday we lost...

Like pretty much all conservatives, I have consistently criticized riots and other forms of political violence for many years. That includes yesterday’s Washington, D.C. riot. You can’t say the same about liberals, however. Until yesterday, one might have thought that liberals consider rioting and other forms of political violence to be as American as apple pie. You could write a book in support of that proposition, but for now let’s cite just a few examples. Do you remember when President Trump was inaugurated on January 20, 2017? Leftist Democrats rioted in Washington that day. That riot was arguably worse, more...
