Breaking with President Donald Trump, outgoing Attorney General William Barr said Monday he saw no reason to appoint a special counsel to look into the president’s claims of election fraud or the tax investigation into the son of President-elect Joe Biden. In his final press conference, Barr also undercut Trump as he reinforced the belief of federal officials that Russia was behind the cyberespionage operation targeting the U.S. government. Trump had suggested without evidence that China could be responsible. Barr said the investigation into Hunter Biden’s financial dealings was “being handled responsibly and professionally.” “I have not seen a reason...

Axios must like propping up Democratic senators as crusaders against fossil fuel special interests while ignoring their own deep ties to special interests, including dark money. Axios climate and energy reporter Amy Harder praised how Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) was “calling on the incoming Biden administration to have the Justice Department investigate organizations that fossil-fuel companies have in the past funded.” Harder said Whitehouse was accusing these organizations of “propagating ‘climate denialism and climate obstruction and political ownership of the Republican Party.’” Harder herself took aim at the conservative Heartland Institute, reportedly a Whitehouse target, and attacked it as “an...

Muddy roads, rusted cars, makeshift shelters and piles of garbage: The desolate images at the beginning of German director Milo Rau’s new film, The New Gospel, show how farm workers live near the southern Italian city of Matera. Most of them are African refugees. They have no residence permit and work for hours under the scorching sun or in the freezing cold for a pittance in the tomato fields and orange plantations. They are hired and supervised by Italian foremen, the “caporali.” The mafia controls the agricultural economy in the Matera region; there is no way around their contact men....

Former Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard blasted young members of Congress for taking the coronavirus vaccine before American seniors — and declared she wouldn’t receive the vaccine until the elderly could. The Hawaii congresswoman made the remarks in a Monday morning tweet as members of Congress receive the Pfizer drug as part of a “continuity of governance” plan, vaulting them to the front of the line before at-risk seniors and other frontline workers. On Friday, NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Bronx) recorded herself receiving the vaccine live on Instagram and encouraged her millions of followers to ask questions about the...

New York City restaurant owners imposed lifetime bans on the patronage of Gov. Andrew Cuomo because his lockdowns have destroyed the city’s dining industry, The Washington Examiner reported. Restaurant owners on the Facebook group NYC Restaurants Open, which shares information about open restaurants, hours, and takeout options, expressed their frustrations with Cuomo’s business shutdown orders. They told him that he would not be served at their small businesses. “He can eat at some s—- roadside diner outside of Albany but he will not be served anywhere in New York City, known universally as the world’s greatest dining destination! If he...

President-elect Joe Biden’s nominees for Cabinet positions will have to “run the gauntlet” if the GOP controls the Senate next year, the third-ranking Republican in the chamber said. “So it’s not going to be a garden party if the Republicans are in the majority. These nominees are going to have to run the gauntlet,” Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming said on “Fox News Sunday.”

@RandPaulToday around 1:45 I'll speak on the effect Congress’ reckless spending will have on future generations and once again I'll call for finding savings in the current budget to pay for our priorities and reopening the economy. The coffers are bare. We have no rainy day fund. We have no savings account. Congress has spent all of the money. Congress spent all of the money a long time ago. Watch Here

The sun has begun a new 11-year cycle, and scientists have very different ideas on just how much energy will be available to fuel its eruptions. The consensus view of an international panel of 12 scientists calls for the new cycle, Solar Cycle 25, to be small to average, much like its predecessor, Solar Cycle 24. Scott McIntosh, foresees the sun going gangbusters. The cycle is already off to a fast start, coinciding with the recent publication of McIntosh's paper in Solar Physics. The study, with contributions from several of his colleagues, forecasts the nascent sunspot cycle to become one...

Image: Wikimedia CommonsThe “M1 Carbine” was instead the first carbine to be developed and thus while it does have similarities, these are in fact different weapons. Here's What You Need to Remember: The confusion between the two weapons isn’t helped by the fact that both are designated as firing “.30 caliber.”Despite its name and the fact that its basic appearance is similar to the M1 Garand, the M1 Carbine—officially the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1—wasn’t really a carbine version of the main battle rifle. The confusion lies in the fact that both were designated “M1” but that simply dates back...

Indoctrinating An Entire School System in PC RacismSeattle school district claims education system is guilty of “spirit murder” against black children.Seattle Public Schools recently held a racially charged teacher-training session that convicted US schools of committing “spirit murder” against black kids and demanded that white teachers “bankrupt [their] privilege in acknowledgment of [their] thieved inheritance.”According to whistleblower documents from the session that I’ve reviewed, the trainers began by claiming that teachers are colonizers of “the ancestral lands and traditional territories of the Puget Sound Coast Salish People.” Later: “The United States was built off the stolen labor of kidnapped and...

Never Thought It Would HappenAuthor unknown and spot on. Some of you have no idea what you’ve done. Sadly, some of you do. Well since the US Supreme Court won’t hear from the state of Texas, this is for those who still don’t get it - Now you understand why there was never any action against the Clintons or Obama, how they destroyed emails and evidence and phones and servers, how they spied and wiretapped, how they lied to FISA, had conversations on the tarmac, sent emails to cover their asses after key meetings, how Comey and Brennan and Clapper...

nstead of ignoring the news or fighting in vain, fans of Cleveland baseball should make the case the new name respects the team's history: the Spiders.News broke this week that 2021 will be the last season in which Cleveland’s Major League Baseball franchise is known as the Indians. The change had been hinted at since July but was only confirmed Monday with a statement from the team. Behind the change is a long-running complaint, now boosted by the wave of social justice advocacy in corporate America. It won’t make anyone’s life better or worse in any meaningful sense but will...

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee (R) is the latest state leader to urge residents to drastically limit their holiday gatherings by spending them only with members of the same household, signing an executive order limiting indoor public events to ten. In a Sunday evening address, the Republican governor identified Tennesee as “ground zero for a surge in sickness,” describing the ongoing pandemic as a “war.” Approximately 10,000 Tennesseans are getting sick daily, the governor said, largely attributing the spike to holiday gatherings — namely, the Thanksgiving gatherings

Make no mistake, there are people out there who love COVID, people who view it as manna from Heaven, people who can't get enough of COVID and would extend it forever and ever. Most, of course, are not restaurant or gym owners, ordered to shut down and wait. They're the overclass and they're about amassing money and power. Which may be why a gargantuan study on COVID transmission by asymptomatic individuals, from the city of Wuhan, China, is getting no attention, at least not here in the states. According to the American Institute of Economic Research: In this case, the...
