New York City restaurant owners imposed lifetime bans on the patronage of Gov. Andrew Cuomo because his lockdowns have destroyed the city’s dining industry, The Washington Examiner reported.
Restaurant owners on the Facebook group NYC Restaurants Open, which shares information about open restaurants, hours, and takeout options, expressed their frustrations with Cuomo’s business shutdown orders.
They told him that he would not be served at their small businesses.
“He can eat at some s—- roadside diner outside of Albany but he will not be served anywhere in New York City, known universally as the world’s greatest dining destination! If he has to use the restroom he can go pee on my street-corner,” bar owner Larry Baird said, according to The Coney Island Blog.
“He can dine at Gracie Mansion if wants hospitality in Manhattan,” another member added. “He ain’t getting it here!”
Other members of the group said Cuomo’s restrictions are incoherent.
“Completely schizophrenic behavior,” one group member said. “How are they coming up with these rules is beyond any logical reasoning.”
Cuomo reinstated a ban on indoor dining, despite a lack of any scientific evidence to suggest that open restaurants pose a significant public health threat.
“It’s 70 degrees every day. My Coney Island childhood friends have all retired to Florida now! All the restaurants and bars are open and the grannies live!,” said Valle Torre, a lifetime resident of Coney Island.
Other bar owners actively defy Cuomo’s unconstitutional, unscientific, and anti-American lockdown orders.
“It doesn’t seem like we can do business,” said Mac’s Public House owner Danny Presti. “So here’s what we’re going to do for everybody: We’re going to give away everything for free. So now you can come to Mac’s Public House, and you can eat for free and you can drink for free. We just ask that you do make a donation toward us so that we can still pay our bills.”
Police arrested Presti in December for disobeying Cuomo’s commands.
And how many of these people voted for him? This is nothing. If they really want to make a stand, they could all just ignore the regulations and reopen.

Yes, the should take a cue from Obama and start their own community organizing, and from MLK with peaceful civil disobedience.
If I were a NYC owner I’d be all over social media, walking the streets, calling other owners to join together and have a mass reopening.
Cuomo, like most democrats, went from zero to fascist in 60 seconds. It’s power they want, and if you defy them they use the power of the state to put you in jail.
In the words of Marie Antoinette,

Too bad NYS doesn’t have recall.
