DETROIT (AP) — General Motors says it will no longer support the Trump administration in legal efforts to end California’s right to set its own clean-air standards. CEO Mary Barra said in a letter Monday to environmental groups that GM will pull out of the lawsuit, and it urges other automakers to do so. She said the company agrees with President-elect Joe Biden’s plan to expand electric vehicle use. Last week, GM said it is testing a new battery chemistry that will bring electric-vehicle costs down to those of gas-powered vehicles within five years.

President Donald Trump is sweating over his campaign lawyers’ dismal and often outlandish efforts to reverse President-elect Joe Biden’s projected electoral victory. Trump is worried that his campaign’s legal team, which is being led by his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, is comprised of “fools that are making him look bad,” NBC News reported Monday. That crew, which has unironically called itself an “elite strike force team,” to date has failed to win any legal victories that would invalidate votes for Biden, the former Democratic vice president, even as the legal eagles tout wildly broad claims of fraud for which they...

By now it should be obvious - even to conservatives - that we are in a war. It is a conflict that began nearly fifty years ago when the street revolutionaries of the Sixties joined the Democrat Party. Their immediate goal was to help the Communist enemy win the war in Vietnam, but they stayed to expand their influence in the Democrat Party and create the radical force that confronts us today. The war that today’s Democrats are engaged in reflects the values and methods of those radicals. It is a war against us - against individual freedom, against...

State election board declines to rule on measure dealing with residency concerns. Georgia election officials are extending the use of secure ballot drop boxes for use in the state’s twin Senate runoff elections on Jan. 5, where the Republican majority in the Senate is at stake. The five-member Georgia State Election Board, chaired by Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, voted on Monday to extend the use of the 24/7 monitored drop boxes for use through the runoffs. Use of the boxes was originally set to expire in late December. The move comes amid a surge in absentee ballot requests...

Archbishop Viganò: Between The Lines Of the McCarrick ReportThe McCarrick Report published by the Secretariat of State on November 10, 2020, has been the object of numerous comments. Some point out its shortcomings, while others praise it as a proof of Bergoglio’s transparency and the groundlessness of my accusations. I would like to focus on some aspects that deserve to be further explored, which do not concern me personally. The purpose of these reflections is thus not to adduce further evidence concerning the falsity of arguments raised against me, but rather to highlight the inconsistencies of the report and the...

“The role of declaring the winner of a presidential election in the U.S. falls to the news media. The broadcast networks and cable news outlets have vowed to be prudent.” – New York Times 11/3/2020 The New York Times‘ statement was not accidental, but pre-planned. We are in the middle of a coup d’etat by election-stealing against both President Trump and our republic, and the “mainstream media” is very much in on the plot. A first order of business before you read on: the intent of this piece is NOT to imply that it’s over, and that the evildoers will...

Sadly, the Newsom Chronicles has not yet been canceled, but added a new episode. After King Gavin’s “Doubling Down on Stupid”, and new curfews, we have this curious development: “California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his family are in isolation after three of his children were exposed to a California Highway Patrol officer who tested positive for COVID-19, Newsom said in a tweet late Sunday night. “Newsom said that his entire family tested negative but will adhere to local guidance by quarantining for 14 days. ” ‘We are grateful for all the officers that keep our family safe and for every...

Big Data Poll Director Richard Baris slammed both Big Tech and the liberal media after being silenced by Twitter for speaking out about voter fraud in the 2020 election. Baris was blocked from his Twitter account earlier this month for sharing research pointing to the possibility of voter fraud. His wife Laura and his polling firm were also blocked from their respective accounts as well. Baris’s account has since been restored. In a new interview with MRC Business, Baris warned about the interference of Big Tech and the liberal media into the 2020 election by hoodwinking the American people into...

The 2020 American Music Awards delivered a big decline in rating and total viewership from last year, falling to record lows in both measurements. Last night’s awards show, which was hosted by “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson and saw Taylor Swift, The Weeknd and Dan + Shay emerge as the big winners, averaged a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 and around 3.8 million total viewers. That represents a 50% rating decline and a 43% loss in total viewership. For comparison, last years AMAs were down only 4% on the year prior in the ratings column, and in fact gained around...

[excerpt] "...while Black Lives Matter claim to oppose police abuse and racism around the world, the organization is simultaneously a great supporter of some of the world’s most brutal and repressive dictators. In particular, the founders of BLM have been staunch supporters and allies of the sanguinary Venezuela dictator Nicolas Maduro and of the Castro regime in Cuba. In December 2015 Black Lives Matter sent a delegation, headed by the organization’s co-founder, Opal Tometi, to act as observers during the Venezuelan Parliamentary elections of that year. The Maduro regime did not allow accreditation for observers from the Organization of American...

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced Monday morning that the Department of Justice will not pursue an investigation into the funding behind the violent agitators who attacked RNC attendees after the Republican National Convention last summer. Senator Paul, his wife, and many other Republicans were terrorized by a “crazed mob” on the streets of D.C. upon exiting the White House grounds following President Trump’s RNC acceptance speech on the night of August 27. “The DC U.S. Attorney today confirmed to me that they will not pursue an investigation of who is funding the thugs who attacked my wife and me and...

A woman walking a Florida beach thought she had come across a decapitated body. Thankfully, it just turned out to be the type of figure you’d see showing off clothing from a store window. The headless mannequin spotted on Perdido Key near A volunteer for an environmental nonprofit in Florida discovered what she thought was a dead body while cleaning up a beach in the state — but the corpse turned out to just be a store mannequin. Ocean Hour, a Florida based nonprofit that organizes beach cleanups across the state, shared news of what happened on Facebook on Monday....

Although the outcome of the presidential election has yet to be certified – and with recounts, lawsuits, and investigations ongoing – gun control advocates are wasting no time cozying up to Joe Biden, and demanding his “executive action” to restrict access to firearms. A recent article in Michael Bloomberg’s gun control propaganda arm, The Trace, detailed what it called “7 Ways Biden Could Go It Alone on Gun Violence Prevention.” The article noted that the would-be president’s own website states, “Joe Biden ... knows how to make progress on reducing gun violence using executive action.” “Executive action” in this...

With more than 19,000 mail-in ballots returned to Broome County this year, there were bound to be a few errors. In those cases, election workers were tasked with curing the ballot. That means reaching out to the voter and letting them correct the mistake before election commissioners disqualify the ballot. But not all counties in New York cured ballots until this fall. Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a “notice and cure” act in August, after the state saw an unprecedented number of absentee ballots for the June primaries returned with errors and rejected. Dutko said the law requires boards...

They "shall suffer death." -- The first penalty mentioned in U.S. law for people guilty of treason. So, Joe Scarborough: what shall it be for President Trump and others you've suggested could be guilty of treason? Death, or one of the lesser penalties enumerated? Public executions, perhaps, on Inauguration Day? Wanna volunteer for the firing squad? On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough accused President Trump and his legal team, with the "silent approval" of Mitch McConnell, of attempting a "coup" to "overthrow the presidency" of Joe Biden....which hasn't been certified yet. Scarborough concluded his rant by melodramatically intoning: "None dare...

So, here is my question. Would you be willing to risk catching Covid if it would mean that your kids and grandkids would have a "normal" life? I am 65, but otherwise I have no co-mobidities, and I am very healthy. I don't want to get the disease, but I would rather be sick for a few weeks if it would mean that life could get back to normal for my family. I am sick of my kids suffering inadequate online classes (for college and graduate courses), of cancelled weddings (twice for us thus far), of cancelled summer plans to...
