Thanksgiving Dinner.
How is it that 2 pounds of dinner can add 15 pounds of weight ?

It’s an extremely complex mathematical formula that also involves quantum physics and mechanics.
In Figure 1, you will see the beginning of this equation in the Fork-To-Mouth diagram....

For those in states with legal restrictions on number of guests on Thursday, instead of having a Family Thanksgiving Dinner, have a state-based legally more lenient Funeral Instead for your large Turkey.
Advise your guests, in lieu of flowers, to bring dessert.

I’m guessing, and I could be Very Wrong, that you heartland and southern folks make outrageously fantastic spreads for Thanksgiving.
We celebrate it, my family, but Christmas Eve is our big food thing on Staten Island.
Fish and Italian food :)
You guys have probably been making Thanksgiving spreads for 6 generations!!
Hard to top that.
Would love to see the spreads some of you are gonna put out

I learned that with Chocolate Pudding Graham cracker crust Pie decades ago.

“have a state-based legally more lenient Funeral Instead for your large Turkey.”
You’d think that would work, but it won’t. But a celebration of “President-Elect” Biden’s victory would be quite fine or perhaps a “mostly peaceful” demonstration against colonialism/white supremacy, food and drink provided, would also work.

“...you heartland and southern folks make outrageously fantastic spreads for Thanksgiving.”
My aunt Ina in Idaho would put on feasts for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. She had a piece of furniture that looked like a sideboard, but in fact contained a folding table that would seat twenty. There were also two or three card tables for the kids.
Being a boy, I had no idea how much work went into the meal. She prepared for months ahead, making dishes and putting them in the freezer(s). Besides turkey, there’d be ham, duck, goose, venison, and salmon (the last four hunted/caught, it’s Idaho, after all). Sides and desserts galore it goes without saying. I’m afraid the knowledge and expertise that went into these meals is now lost. I doubt my cousins have carried on the tradition.
Me, I’m smoking a turkey breast and my wife is fixing the rest.

Sounds like great memories.
And an incredible meal and preparation.
As for me, I will be eating with a friend. Just the two of us.
There must have been 30 easy when I was a lad.
Everyone had less and less kids :)
Gransmas - 10 each
mom - 5
siblings - 1 and 2 each.
it is what it is
enjoy your Thanksgiving!
