We now know -- thanks to October -- who will win on November 3. The reason we know is found in early voting data. October voting is no longer the exclusive domain of the Democratic Party. Both parties vote early and in ever-increasing numbers. Which makes the October vote an early “action report” on the election outcome that’s more reality based than the polls or the mainstream media. Who you vote for is a secret. When, where, and how many voters cast their ballots is not. It’s data. In this case, data in its most meaningful form: the number of...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds. Progressive groups and investors hope Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden can win on Tuesday and quickly end Trump administration rules that stifle their ability to pick stocks using environmental, social or governance factors, setting up a renewed fight with corporate groups that backed the changes. More than a dozen lobbyists, investors and policy experts said a Biden win could boost U.S. growth of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing which lags far behind Europe. Democrats favor so-called ESG investing strategies as a way to pressure companies to address climate change, wealth inequality and racial justice problems. If Biden takes the...

An Armenian association in France expressed outrage Sunday after a memorial centre to the mass killings of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire was defaced with pro-Turkish slogans. The incident in the town of Decines-Charpieu outside Lyon comes against a background of intense communal tensions in France between its Armenian minority and the Turkish community over the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. Turkey has strongly backed its ally Azerbaijan in the conflict during the last weeks over Nagorno-Karabakh, part of Azerbaijan but controlled by Armenian separatists since a 1990s war as the Soviet Union broke up. The National Armenian Memorial Centre was daubed...

In this second of two ITV Exposure films on Trump’s America, Emmy Award-winning director Deeyah Khan investigates what it’s like to be a Muslim in a country where many people feel you don’t belong. Since 2015, anti-Muslim hate groups, conspiracy theories and hate crimes have all risen. Deeyah meets the family of a Kansas farmer serving 30 years for an anti-Muslim bomb plot, and films with a right wing, armed militia who believe in conspiracy theories that Muslims are trying to take over America. Filming before and during the coronavirus pandemic and while events following the death of George Floyd...

I see that Europe is closing down again due to Winnie the Flu from the land of Wu. All of France's 67 million people have been ordered to stay at home at all times with no visitors, or risk steep fines or prosecution, as coronavirus cases in the country continue to rise. "Your papers, please" Butt, Butt, Butt (excusez moi but(t) it strikes me that this is once again an appropriate spelling for this great conjunction) isn’t Europe the template for the correct-a-vous handling of the Corona? Isn’t President Trump the only* reprobate world leader who failed miserably to protect...

The dispute over the Mohammed caricatures in the Paris magazine "Charlie Hebdo" is apparently spilling over to Austria. As the "Kurier" reports, around 50 people are said to have entered the Anton Church in Vienna-Favoriten on Thursday evening. There the angry crowd is said to have rioted and kicked the benches and the confessional. They are said to have shouted "Allahu Akbar". The deputy pastor had alerted the executive, but when they arrived the rioters had already stormed back. The entire incident is said to have been recorded by a surveillance camera. As President Donald Trump has crisscrossed the country in the campaign's waning days, many of his rallies have had a tumultuous, whirlwind feel similar to those of his chaotic first run, with logistical hiccups as disorienting for some volunteers as for visitors. At a gathering in Omaha, Nebraska, on Tuesday, hundreds of rallygoers were left stranded in the cold for hours because the campaign failed to plan for how buses shuttling them to their cars would get through the post-event traffic. A similar scene played out at an event Saturday in Pennsylvania. But while Trump's mad dash across the country,...

Trump has surged ahead in the key swing state of Iowa according to a poll suggesting he has a chance of pulling off another huge upset. The survey showed Trump 7 pts. over of Biden with a day until the election. The same late poll in 2016 was one of the few showing Trump could win the WH. It gave him a 7 pt. Iowa lead over Clinton which became a win by 9.6%. The survey will worry Democrats who fear Biden faces same fate as Clinton. Biden is ahead by 7 pts overall in the polls. There’s little doubt...
