BELLEVUE, WA – The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms cautions law enforcement agencies that the coronavirus emergency should not be an excuse to suspend the process required for the issuance or renewal of concealed carry permits or licenses by any law enforcement agency. “We’ve received reports from members and concerned citizens, especially in Washington State, that local law enforcement agencies are suspending license or permit application services, including the taking of fingerprints,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “That’s unreasonable because the right to bear arms shouldn’t be subject to administrative delays. “We understand and sympathize...

The White House on Monday denied that it’s considering a national curfew in response to the coronavirus outbreak. “That’s not even in the realm of things we’re asking governors for,” said Katie Miller, a spokeswoman for Vice President Mike Pence, who is leading the Trump administration’s response to COVID-19. “There are a lot of rumors,” Miller said. “I promise you, I’m sitting in every single meeting… so I can give you guys a yes or no.” Jim Scuitto of CNN tweeted Monday morning: “There are active discussions within the Trump administration to encourage a possible ‘curfew’ across the nation in...

The disease is going to spread fast in Mexico, where a weak and corrupt state has made almost no preparations. As much of the world goes into various stages of lockdown because of the Wuhan coronavirus, Mexico is in denial. The governmentÂ’s response thus far has been to downplay the risks and carry on with life as normal. Mexican officialdom has taken almost no steps to contain the virus or prepare for an outbreak, despite a warning last week from the deputy health minister that a widespread outbreak is inevitable and that community transmission could begin there in a matter...

Dear friends, In light of our day's national and global fears and panic relating to the Coronavirus; do your part to be safe and relax, especially if you are a child of Almighty God (John 10:27-30; Rom. 8:26-39). Be the stability and light in Jesus that this fallen world needs to see and may Almighty God use us to share His ETERNAL LIFE and PEACE to a dying world who needs Him desperately (John 3:16-17). For we serve the ETERNAL KING of LIFE and NOT that fallen angelic thug Satan and his henchman; death, the king of fears (John 1:14;...

A team of Australian researchers say they've found a cure for the novel coronavirus and hope to have patients enrolled in a nationwide trial by the end of the month. University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research director Professor David Paterson told news.com.au today they have seen two drugs used to treat other conditions can wipe out the virus in test tubes. He said one of the medications, given to some of the first people to test positive for COVID-19 in Australia, had already resulted in "disappearance of the virus" and complete recovery from the infection. Prof Paterson, who is...

Mitt Romney called on the federal government to send every adult $1,000 immediately to help cope financially with the economic damage caused by the spread of the coronavirus. “Every American adult should immediately receive $1,000 to help ensure families and workers can meet their short-term obligations and increase spending in the economy,” Romney, a Utah Republican senator and 2012 presidential nominee, said in a statement.

Lyrics You were lying in your bed, You were feeling kind of sleepy. But you couldn't close your eyes because the room was getting creepy. Were those eyeballs in the closet? Was that Godzilla in the hall? There was something big and hairy casting shadows on the wall. Now your heart is beating like a drum, Your skin is getting clammy. There's a hundred tiny monsters jumping Right into you jammies! What are you going to do? JUNIOR: I'm going to call the police! BOB: No. You don't need to DO anything! JUNIOR: What? Why? BOB: Because... God is bigger...

On March 6th, a video was shared on social media showing Turkish security forces use an armored vehicle, with a rope to pull down the fence at the Greek border and allow migrants to pass. The vehicle, according to Greek media is one of the “HIZIR / ATES” type vehicles with daytime and nighttime border surveillance vehicles, which Turkey received from May to August 2019, financed by a program for which 75% were paid for the EU. Furthermore, Turkish special police operations units were shown pointing their high-powered rifles at the Greek border patrol cars.

What does it mean to be tolerant? The dictionary defines tolerance as respect for opinions, beliefs, and practices that differ from your own. But in our polarized cultural climate, it has come to mean something else entirely. Greg Koukl, president of Stand to Reason, sorts it all out.

The Supreme Court on Monday postponed oral arguments scheduled for its March session, including a potentially landmark dispute over subpoenas for President Trump’s financial records, amid concerns over the coronavirus pandemic. A court spokeswoman said the move was “in keeping with public health precautions” in response to the outbreak, which has infected 18 people in Washington, D.C., and more than 3,800 nationwide. “The court will examine the options for rescheduling those cases in due course in light of the developing circumstances,” the spokeswoman said. The postponement affects six days of oral arguments slated for late March and April 1, including...

Here’s the general rule: It is praiseworthy to be stringent on Passover. In fact, the Arizal states, “One who is careful about the most minuscule amount of chametz on Pesach is guaranteed not to sin the entire year.” It is partially based on this that many are extra stringent. Nevertheless, keep in mind that dust isn’t chametz (“leaven”). The main purpose of cleaning and searching for chametz is to remove any of it that one may come to inadvertently eat or derive benefit from during Passover. This obligation of getting rid of chametz does not extend to inedible chametz, or...

Arizona House Bill 2683 was on track to be a powerful bipartisan statement that antisemitism is not welcome in the Grand Canyon State. That is, until last week. Before then, all seemed ready for my state to put antisemites on notice that any crimes committed would be considered hate crimes. The original bill in the Arizona House of Representatives had 56 out of 60 members join as cosponsors. The Senate version, SB1143, had 27 out of 30 senators as cosponsors with near universal approval. This support was unprecedented in the legislative history of America’s 48th state and came none too soon. Antisemitism in...

Posted on March 15, 2020March 15, 2020 by Msgr. Charles Pope A Brief Essay on the Fear of Death In times like these, consider well this text from Hebrews:Since the children have flesh and blood, [Jesus] too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death (Heb. 2:14-15).In the past I have written on these verses allegorically, pointing out that “the fear of death” can be understood more broadly as anything...

The most promising drug to potentially treat coronavirus -- Gilead Sciences' remdesivir -- is being given a second shot at clinical trials after three seriously-affected patients in the US treated with remdesivir recovered albeit with some side effects. According to a report in Statnews on Monday, remdesivir is now being tested in five COVID-19 clinical trials and the first trial results are expected next month. As of now, there are no approved therapies for any coronavirus infection, and "remdesivir is the farthest along in the development process of any candidate." "There's only one drug right now that we think may...

VIDEO Wow! Roland Martin really really does NOT like Candace Owens as he made clear in this video. What set off this rant by Martin was the fact that Owens broke the Andrew Gillum story in which the former gubernatorial candidate was found naked in a Miami Beach hotel room with a gay male escort and three bags of meth. Martin claimed that Owens just "made up some crap" despite the fact that Owens based her story on a police report. Meanwhile Gillum has gone the expected rehab route to supposedly treat his alcoholism but, in reality, to get...

President Trump’s fear of Joe Biden seems well-founded, especially since Biden is now favored to move into the White House in 2021, by some estimates. “With Trump facing an unlikely reelection, this means it is most likely at this point Joe Biden will win the general election in November,” Washington, DC research firm Sandhill Strategies predicted in a March 16 analysis. The coronavirus outbreak has triggered a bear market in stocks and a likely recession, which is a death sentence for presidential reelection hopes. “No U.S. President has won reelection in recent history after a period of economic downturn,” Sandhill...

While some have questioned the legality of Governor Pritzker's authority to issue such a directive (not the supine news media -- of course), there is a proper and correct way to do this under Illinois law, but Governor Jabba Pritzker has bypassed some of the legal formalities. He seems content to rely upon talking points issued by Pelosi and Schumer and using every opportunity to bash Trump about COVID-19. Consider the following summary of executive power under the Illinois Public Health laws: Police Power & Limitations. Persons who are or are about to be ordered to be isolated or quarantined...

Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the veteran lawmaker and House Majority Whip, took aim at President Trump in a new interview, calling the president a racist and comparing modern-day America to Germany during the rise of the Nazi Party. In an interview with "Axios on HBO," the Democratic lawmaker said that Trump was a racist, but reportedly would not call him a white supremacist, according to an Axios report of the interview. Clyburn evoked Germany in the 1930s in one clip of the interview released Sunday, while clarifying that the "dynamic" of Trump's attacks on the press echoed those of Nazi...
