Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the veteran lawmaker and House Majority Whip, took aim at President Trump in a new interview, calling the president a racist and comparing modern-day America to Germany during the rise of the Nazi Party.
In an interview with "Axios on HBO," the Democratic lawmaker said that Trump was a racist, but reportedly would not call him a white supremacist, according to an Axios report of the interview.
Clyburn evoked Germany in the 1930s in one clip of the interview released Sunday, while clarifying that the "dynamic" of Trump's attacks on the press echoed those of Nazi leaders such as Adolf Hitler. "I used to wonder how could the people of Germany allow Hitler to exist. But with each passing day, I'm beginning to understand how. And that's why I'm trying to sound the alarm," he added, before claiming that Trump told more than 30 lies during his State of the Union address this year.

It’s called projection.
They WANT to be a Hitler.
They WANT the power of a Hitler.
So they assume, wrongly, that the Republicans want that too.
Running scared. He knows full well what Trump intends to do. He said he was going to drain the swamp and its coming.
FU Clyburn!
... anytime now....
haters gonna hate
Nazi - the n-word of choice of commie Democrat haters
Olyburn is a horrible POS.
Clyburn so much wants to leave the Dem slavery plantation
but just can’t bring himself to take a leap into freedom.
Clyburn wants the president to be a slave master, just so he can bring more slaves home to the plantation.
JOIN THE MODERN ERA CLYBURN. There are no more slave masters, just twisted politicians like you who work to convince others that the Slave Masters are still here.
Any who remained Democrats after these mass murders in 1993 are clearly BRAIN DEAD!

I recall we FReepers used to have a saying for certain people . . .
“He’s such a clyburn!”
In his search for “racism,” Clyburn should start with own face in the mirror.
Also, Lindbergh is not Trump.
Trump is racist?
There *might* be some truth to this accusation...coming from the party of Slavery, Jim Crow and affirmative action.
Those people really know how to be racist...
Yawn... This racist statement is getting boring...
“Trump told more than 30 lies”
Show me the list, Jim.
I don’t know who is more contemptible, this yammering fool or his media enablers.
Lindbergh, along with other isolationists of the right, opposed us going to war with Germany prior to Pearl Harbor. Similarly, but for a very different reason, the commie sympathizers in this country supported Germany as it was an ally of Russia, prior to Germany invading Russia.
Through 1940, the majority of Americans opposed involvement in the war. During 1941, public opinion began to change. During those years, we adopted a policy described as “armed neutrality,” but actually aiding Great Britain. The commie sympathizers changed their tune after Barbarossa got underway, and right-wing isolationists after Pearl Harbor.
Somehow, the commie Democrat haters fail to remember the left-wing isolationists of the 1930s, but never forget Charles Lindbergh. Communists, Commie sympathizers, traitors and domestic terrorists such as W.E.B. Dubois and Paul Robeson, Gus Hall and Angela Davis get a free pass, but the people they hate are forever deplorable and irredeemable.
Let me contrast those haters to a decent but flawed man, Warren Harding. With the end of the war, he pardoned the anti-war activists Woodrow Wilson had arrested. In a dramatic display of forgiveness, he had Christmas dinner at the White House with the most prominent of them, Eugene V. Debs, a socialist. When the haters hate, let us not reply in kind, but instead to reply with kindness.
Back then, America First and Social Justice were synonymous.
