Mike Norvell celebrated the best season in Memphis history and the program’s first American Athletic Conference championship with the No. 16 Tigers, all the while deflecting questions about his next job. There’s plenty of time to focus on Florida State on Sunday, when two people with knowledge of the decision say the Seminoles will introduce Norvell as their coach. The people spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because an official announcement has not been made.

Democrats have finally admitted the genius of our founding fathers, a big break from their usual descriptions of them as white supremacists. In a new report, titled Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment, released Saturday, the majority staff on the House Judiciary Committee has attempted to expand the definition of what constitutes an impeachable offense so that seemingly any president throughout America's history would now be subject to impeachment. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler felt the need to write a forward attempting to explain why such a report is needed in the first place. While Nadler admits that other reports...

The very usage of the terms “capitalism” and “socialism” has evolved past the point of clear meaning. The United States has never had a meaningful socialist tradition or even a semi-serious socialist party. Socialism in the United States is a fringe movement at best and always has been. This makes the sudden acceptability of socialism all the more surprising. But with one avowed socialist, Bernie Sanders, campaigning for the presidency for a second time, and another, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, rising to national prominence from her post in the House of Representatives, American socialism is more mainstream now than at any point...

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran a victory lap after Amazon announced that they were purchasing office space in New York City without any of the subsidies that were offered in the previous deal. Last year, Ocasio-Cortez expressed outrage when Amazon announced it would split its new headquarters, HQ2, between New York City and northern Virginia. She was frustrated that New York officials had promised the corporation tax breaks to entice them to choose their state for the new campus. “Amazon is a billion-dollar company. The idea that it will receive hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks at...

Listening to Democrats make their “case” for impeaching Trump is like watching a child make excuses for why they should be able to stay up late or not have to eat their vegetables. It’s an endless evolving list of explanations and excuses. We’ve seen them allege a quid pro quo, bribery, extortion… basically whatever polled well on a given week. One fairly new angle they’ve been pushing is that the mere pushback against subpoenas is tantamount to obstruction of justice—an impeachable offense. Professor Jonathan Turley destroyed this argument during his testimony this week before the House Judiciary Committee. “He’s allowed...

The Trump administration announced a new process to apply for H-1B visas, requiring applicants to preregister online for an initial lottery before filing their full petitions for the coveted visas for highly skilled foreign workers. Under the new process, employers must register between March 1-20 to determine who will be selected to apply for the visas, which allow holders to live and work in the U.S. for up to three years at a time, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said Friday. Under the previous system, U.S. employers prepped their applicants’ full petitions, which cost thousands of dollars to file, to...

Joe Biden asserted that he never heard worries that his son Hunter Biden's role on a Ukrainian gas company could create a conflict of interest. "Nobody warned me about a potential conflict of interest," Biden said Friday in an interview with NPR. "I never, never heard that once at all." Hunter Biden was on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, while his father was vice president and working on Ukrainian policy. President Trump asked the Ukrainian president this year to investigate the Bidens, prompting Democrats to launch impeachment proceedings against Trump. George Kent, a top State Department official,...

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is slipping in both national and early state polls, and it looks like the slide in support is happening in California as well. A new poll from the UC Berkeley Institute of Government Studies conducted for the Los Angeles Times shows that Warren lost seven percentage points since the poll was last conducted in September, and is no longer leading the Democratic primary field. The new leader is Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is up five percentage points since the poll was last conducted. Here are top five candidates from the poll: Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders...

[Barf Alert} Pope Francis urges United Nations to save the poor from climate change December 6, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis has sent a message to the participants of the latest United Nations climate conference, which opened in Madrid last Monday, asking whether “there is the political will to allocate with honesty, responsibility and courage, more human, financial and technological resources to mitigate the negative effects of climate change, as well as to help the poorest and most vulnerable populations who suffer from them the most.” In a purely “horizontal” context, in which he spoke neither of God and...

Astronomers have captured the best and closest image to date of interstellar comet 2I/Borisov, a visitor that originated from outside of our solar system and is currently passing through. On Sunday, the comet will pass within 190 million miles of Earth on its closest approach before continuing on through our solar system. As it gets closer to Earth, the icy comet is shedding more gas and dust through its tail through evaporation. Astronomers at Yale University used the W.M. Keck Observatory's Low-Resolution Imaging Spectrometer, located in Hawaii, to provide the closest look at the interstellar comet since it was first...
