Hillary Clinton took a veiled swipe at President Trump and urged Americans to defend democracy, a calculated remark likely referencing her 2016 loss, during a eulogy for the late Elijah Cummings. Trump must truly haunt this woman’s nightmares. The former Secretary of State praised Cummings as a “great man, moral leader, and a friend,” while equating him to the biblical prophet Elijah. “Our Elijah, like the prophet, could call down fire from heaven,” Clinton gracefully said. “But he also prayed and worked for healing. He weathered storms and earthquakes but never lost his faith.” All well and good until Trump,...

The U.S. Treasury on Friday said that the federal deficit for fiscal 2019 was $984 billion, a 26% increase from 2018 but still short of the $1 trillion mark previously forecast by the administration. The gap between revenues and spending was the widest it’s been in seven years as expenditures on defense, Medicare and interest payments on the national debt ballooned the shortfall. The government said corporate tax revenues totaled $230 billion, up 12%, thanks to a rebound in the second half of the year. Individual tax revenues rose 2% to $1.7 trillion. Receipts totaled $3.4 trillion, up 4% through...

The Trump Organization is "exploring" selling the rights to the Trump International Hotel in Washington, Eric Trump, the president's son and an executive vice president of the Trump Organization, told The Wall Street Journal in a Friday report. "Since we opened our doors, we have received tremendous interest in this hotel and as real-estate developers, we are always willing to explore our options," the younger Trump told The Journal in a statement. The company leased the historic Old Post Office building in DC, which houses the hotel, for 60 years beginning in 2013. The Trump Organization is reportedly looking to...

Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer is preparing to spend hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars on a plan that would fast-track the elimination of nearly every gas-powered vehicle in the country. The senate’s top Democrat wants to spend a massive amount of money enticing Americans to exchange their gas-guzzling vehicles for an electric car. Schumer’s proposal, which he announced in a New York Times editorial Thursday, shows Democrats are lurching leftward on the issue. “That’s why I am announcing a new proposal designed to rapidly phase out gas-powered vehicles and replace them with zero-emission, or ‘clean,’ vehicles like electric cars,” Schumer...

Want your grandchild to be born instead of aborted? Keep it to yourself is the advice from NBC’s New Amsterdam. Last week, pregnant, coffee shop clerk Ella told Dr. Vijay Kapoor she hadn’t decided if she was going to keep the baby (who is his grandchild). Vijay's son was Ella’s boyfriend who skipped town when he learned of the pregnancy. Since Dr. Iggy Frome was the only person Vijay confided in about his grandchild, he turned to Iggy for advice Tuesday night on the medical drama. However, the therapist is a crusading liberal and proponent of “reproductive rights.” Iggy insisted...

Talk about putting the “men” in menstruation! On Tuesday it was announced that feminine hygiene product brand Always would be removing the Venus female symbol from its packaging. CBS News reported, “The announcement follows pleas from LGBTQ activists to make the labeling more inclusive of transgender and non-binary customers.” Because apparently having feminine products coded as feminine is offensive and exclusionary. According to CBS News, “LGBTQ activists and allies have been publicly asking P&G [Procter & Gamble] to redesign the packaging to be more gender-neutral. They argued that using the female symbol is exclusive because not all women menstruate, and...

LOS ANGELES — Firefighters were scrambling Thursday night to stop the spread of several wildfires as dry, windy conditions fanned flames throughout southern California. Tens of thousands of residents were forced out of their homes near Los Angeles and in wine country to the north. Widespread blackouts were expected to prevent trees from falling on power lines and starting additional fires as forecasts for the weekend showed the potential for strong winds gusting up to 80mph.

President Trump has ratched up his claim that the Obama White House spied on his 2016 campaign, charging in a new book that it was a “treasonous” act by the former Democratic president. “What they did was treasonous, OK? It was treasonous,” he told author Doug Wead for his upcoming book, "Inside Trump's White House: The Real Story of His Presidency." “The interesting thing out of all of this is that we caught them spying on the election. They were spying on my campaign. So you know? What is that all about?” said Trump. “I have never ever said this,...

Mr. Soros’s bet is that Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts will become the Democratic nominee to compete against Mr. Trump. “She has emerged as the clear-cut person to beat,” he said. “I don’t take a public stance, but I do believe that she is the most qualified to be president.” He quickly added that he was not endorsing Ms. Warren, perhaps realizing that any comment construed as an endorsement is likely to be used by her opposition.

One of the constant media themes over the past couple of years has been the story of how terrible Donald Trump’s trade wars with various countries – particularly China – have been for farmers in the midwest. They are allegedly further angered by the President’s “favors” to the oil and gas industry in the form of waivers granted to smaller refineries under the Renewable Fuel Standard, leading to lower prices for corn. This, if you believe what’s regularly repeated on CNN and other outlets, has led to Trump’s support among those in the agricultural community declining. The farmers are angry...

Pastor John Hagee is calling on Congress to define and root out "very vocal and very aggressive" anti-Semitism in the country, accusing Reps. No country is fully equipped to deal with the next global pandemic, a major report has claimed. Scientists say an outbreak of a flu-like illness could sweep across the planet in 36 hours and kill tens of millions due to our constantly-travelling population. But a review of health care systems already in place across the world found just 13 countries had the resources to put up a fight against an 'inevitable' pandemic. Among the countries ranked in the top tier were Britain, the US, Australia, Canada, France and Holland. But given how fast the outbreak is likely to spread, experts...
