At a recent campaign event on a public college campus, Democratic presidential candidate Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke endorsed abortion right up until birth, telling the crowd that he believed a woman should have the right to abort her child the day before it is born. O’Rourke’s response, given at a town hall on the campus of the College of Charleston, came after a pointed question from an audience member, Breitbart reports. The audience member asked the politician: “I was born September 8th, 1989, and I want to know if you think on September 7th, 1989, my life had no value.”

The news that Ruth Bader Ginsburg was treated for pancreatic cancer raised the possibility of a Supreme Court opening within the next year. The 86-year-old Ginsburg's health has been declining for years, to where the last year has felt like a bad remake of the 1989 Weekend at Bernie's movie. While a number of Caribbean destinations struggle, resorts in the Bahamas are bouncing back from a tough period, attracting vacationers, gamblers and sun worshipers. Hotel occupancy in the Bahamas in the first half of 2019 was up 19% from a year earlier, according to hotel-data firm STR. Revenue per available room, a popular industry metric, was up 27% to $231. Tom Steele, A recent college graduate who was killed on her 22nd birthday and left in the back of a burning SUV in Lower Greenville was shot to death, authorities confirmed Friday. Sara Hudson died Monday from two gunshot wounds in the head, the Dallas County medical examiner's office said: one in the left temple and one in the back of the head. Thermal injuries from the fire were a contributing factor in her death, which was ruled a homicide. Although Tropical Storm Dorian’s five-day forecast cone now reaches South Florida, its effects will be felt by the time it nears Puerto Rico, where a hurricane watch and and tropical storm warning were issued early Tuesday. The Vigo County Drug Task Force early Saturday morning arrested a Terre Haute woman in possession of nearly half a pound of methamphetamine. Kyra Grindle, 19, of Terre Haute, was booked in the Vigo County Jail and charged with dealing in methamphetamine with at least 10 grams, unlawful manufacture, distribution or possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended, burglary while armed with a deadly weapon, criminal confinement, intimidation, pointing a loaded firearm and criminal recklessness.
