A recent college graduate who was killed on her 22nd birthday and left in the back of a burning SUV in Lower Greenville was shot to death, authorities confirmed Friday.
Sara Hudson died Monday from two gunshot wounds in the head, the Dallas County medical examiner's office said: one in the left temple and one in the back of the head. Thermal injuries from the fire were a contributing factor in her death, which was ruled a homicide.
Glen Richter, 49, was arrested on a capital murder charge in connection with the slaying and booked into the Dallas County jail early Thursday. He remained in custody Friday, with bail set at $1 million. Authorities have not offered any motive for the attack.
Friends and family said Hudson, who had recently moved back to Dallas after graduating from the University of Arkansas, was on her way to celebrate her birthday Monday evening but never made it. Police wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit that Richter killed Hudson between 4:40 and 7:35 p.m., when authorities were called to a white Chevrolet Tahoe burning in a parking lot in the 5600 block of Alta Avenue. They found her body in the back of the vehicle after extinguishing the flames.
Glen Richter remains in jail, with bail set at $1 million. (Dallas County jail) Surveillance footage showed Richter forcing Hudson back into the Tahoe after she parked and got out, police said. The footage also showed him touching the vehicle, and a fingerprint from the driver's side matched his left ring finger, according to the affidavit.
Richter's neighbor Leon Sanders told KXAS-TV (NBC5) that Richter refused to come out of his Mesquite home before his arrest and that police, who had surrounded the home, had to force their way in.

Obviously the problem is not guns, or fire, or suv’s. It’s subhumans who think that this sort of thing is fun. This is what happens when you rip morality out of school and teach that nothing is right or wrong.
Maybe he was going to eat the woman and was just cooking her in the SUV. They better check the contents of that belly. There could be more people in there.

If the Tahoe SUV was “hers” it might be interesting to look into who paid for it.
