Some food for thought on Equal Pay Day, April 2. White men who ask for a raise are 25% more likely to get one than people of color, a recent study concludes. And yet white men believe they face an uphill battle in corporate America in 2018. An engineer who was fired by Google GOOG-0.64% for circulating an anti-diversity memo sued the company in January, alleging that the tech giant discriminates against white, conservative men. He’s likely not alone in that belief. There are other white men working in tech who believe their gender and race are making it difficult...

A woman missing for over two weeks in the Makawao Forest Reserve on Maui, Hawaii, has miraculously been found alive, a family friend and rescuer confirmed to ABC News. Amanda Eller had been missing for 16 days when she was found in good condition at about 5 p.m. local time. "We found her in a stream bed, she was waving up at us while we were in the helicopter, and we got her out nice and safe," Chris Berquist, who was in the helicopter, told ABC News Radio late Friday. "She was not injured. She has a little bit of...

3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. Leviticus 20:3-5 King James Version (KJV) If anybody questions the cult of Marxism they only have to look at the worship of abortion. After nearly a hundred years of being told the baby is a random glob of cells, science is proving just the opposite. While nobody believes their excuse they are still selling the mother has the right to kill her...

NEW YORK, NY—A new report out of well-known political lecture show Saturday Night Live indicated Friday that the series will undergo a drastic genre change, shifting to a comedic format. Insiders claim the series will attempt to have jokes, funny skits, and clever writing. It's a major change for the series, since it pretty much just lectures you on what to believe politically at this point. "We wanted to try something different," one SNL writer said. "I know that just having angry, nonsensical lectures against the right has been a really popular format for the 682 viewers we have left,...

We may be several months from the first ballots being cast for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, but former Vice President Joe Biden is running away with the race. Yes, anything conceivably could happen between now and when the Democrats officially select their nominee next summer, but Biden is firmly entrenched in the catbird seat and will likely stay there barring a major turn of events. According to the most recent RealClearPolitics average of national surveys, Biden is leading the 20-plus candidate field by more than 16 points. Biden is also leading in the Democrats’ first four February 2020 nominating...

Please pray for my son, who is working in the oilfields in North Dakota. He has been experiencing excruciating pain in his feet. The pain doctor calls it neuropathy, but there isn't much they have been able to do for it. He is blessed with a job where he can sit frequently, but it does require his walking around now and then. They have tried surgery, powerful painkillers, and even CBD. He is strong and optimistic, but it's breaking my heart. PRAY!

VIDEO I usually see only about a dozen ducklings per mother duck but in this case I counted at least 20 ducklings. Is this unusual? Just a few scenes of the Mama duck with her MANY ducklings.

Two Texas men that attempted to jump over the gap in a Louisiana drawbridge in a car died after the vehicle crashed into the water and sank. The incident happened at around 2 a.m. Friday... “After stopping briefly, the driver placed the vehicle in reverse then accelerated forward in an attempt to ‘jump’ the ramp of the bridge. The vehicle became airborne, landed in the waterway, and sank to the bottom.”

Looks like President Trump is off to a good start in Tokyo, meeting with business leaders. Looking forward to Sunday when Trump will attend the 3rd of 6 Sumo tournaments held each year. He's scheduled to present a trophy to the winner! I noticed that the ambassador to Japan, William F. Hagerty of Tennessee (replacing Caroline Kennedy) sounds like an excellent choice for the job. A couple pictures of him are on Twitter feed. What about Hagerty was appealing to Trump? Probably that he gets results. Here are a couple of noteworthy achievements (from Wikipedia): Prior to his confirmation as...

A US Army soldier from Brooklyn is warning tourists to avoid a hotspot in Greece, saying he and his friends were ripped off to the tune of $937 for a light beachside lunch in Mykonos ...including the calamari that topped $662 alone. Reached Friday for comment, reps for the restaurant confirmed that the prices were indeed correct.

News of Trump’s order to declassify all documents relating to the targeting of his presidential campaign by members of the Obama administration intelligence community has reverberated throughout Washington and beyond since Thursday night. The same Democrats who are demanding that Trump release his business records and tax returns because he “may have” broken the law are panicking over this directive. Rep. Adam Schiff, who has built his reputation on his hatred for Donald Trump, tells reporters it’s “un-American” and of course, he’s worried about revealing “sources and methods.” For nearly three years, Democrats and the media have persecuted this President,...

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston has apologized after a middle school teacher says her students were subjected to racist comments and profiling from staff and patrons during a field trip. In a Facebook post published earlier this week, English teacher Marvelyne Lamy said she brought her Grade 7 students -- who she described as all “black and brown” -- from the Helen Y. Davis Leadership Academy in Dorchester, Mass. to the museum on May 16.“At the very beginning of the tour, one of the staff gave an overview on what to expect and told the kids no food,...

Our 'Greeneyes' has been FOUND, but she is having computer issues, so I have been asked to keep the Weekly Garden Thread rolling until she returns. That said, I will be posting once a week, and I will TRY to stick to her schedule of a Friday Night/Saturday Morning Weekly Post, but it depends upon what is going on here at MY farm. (It's Spring; it's BUSY!) The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners...

May 24, 2019 If It’s Too Quiet to Sleep, Maybe We Have a Problem I am surprised at how many people tell me that they cannot fall asleep without the television or radio on in the background. This is surely a sign of being overstimulated. Spiritually, it creates a condition wherein we can barely hear the still, small voice of God. In Kings, we read, Elijah heard, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before...

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — One victim spoke out, and then another, and another. A statue of a pedophile priest was toppled in Gdansk, put back by his supporters, and finally dismantled for good. A feature film about clerical abuse was a box office hit. Poland thought it had started confronting the problem of clerical abuse and its cover-up by church authorities. Then a bombshell came: A documentary with victim testimony so harrowing it has forced an unprecedented reckoning with pedophile priests in one of Europe’s most deeply Catholic societies. Poland’s bishops acknowledged this week they face a crisis and made...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Media blackout on anything positive continues. – On his way to Japan Friday, President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) stopped in Alaska to visit with U.S. troops there, an appropriate gesture given that honoring America’s military and its veterans is the entire purpose of the Memorial Day holiday. The troops cheered and, unlike their reaction whenever Barack Hussein Obama his own self would make such a visit, were obviously excited and thrilled to be in the presence of the President. Naturally, I had to go...

For those of us of a certain age who were brought up in non-religious or nominally religious homes, abortion was, when we were young, something no one spoke about. *snip* By the time we reached adulthood, we were "pro-choice" because that was the thing to be. Wasn't everyone pro-choice? What did that mean? It meant ending an unwanted pregnancy the moment it was realized. No one then ever considered the possibility or option of waiting many months to make such a decision. It never entered anyone's mind that what are now called late-term abortions were even possible. *snip* Fast-forward a...
