The U.K.’s Brexit deal with the EU has been rejected by U.K. lawmakers in another landmark defeat for British Prime Minister Theresa May. May’s Brexit deal was defeated for the first time back in January but she had hoped last-ditch tweaks to the deal, specifically on the contentious Irish border issue, would help persuade Members of Parliament (MPs) to change their minds. Her deal was rejected by 149 votes after 242 MPs voted for the deal and 392 MPs voted against the deal. Sterling pared earlier losses against the dollar after the decision to trade 0.2 percent lower at $1.3124....

Why did Steele, with all of his experience, miss this obvious disinformation campaign in 2016? Christopher Steele is known to be an extremely left-wing mind, and he quite aggressively tried to help his transatlantic ideological soulmate, Hillary Clinton, to win the presidential election. ... Why did Steele, well acquainted with the methods of Russian intelligence, allow the GRU to fool him this time? Steele had a sincere desire to believe that everything the "reliable Russian sources" had thrown at him was right. ... Oddly enough, Skripal's poisoning was triggered not by the actions of the Trump administration, but by the...

The chief executive officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods said Tuesday the retailer will stop selling firearms at 125 of its stores, The Wall Street Journal reported. In a conference call, Dick’s CEO Ed Stack said the retailer will remove guns and some hunting gear after testing the idea in 10 stores last year, the newspaper reported. The move continues a rollback that Dick’s began last year, when the company announced it would stop selling assault-style guns and would not sell weapons or ammunition to anyone under the age of 21. That announcement, made in the wake of a mass shooting...

[…] a new invitation has been issued to the current defenders of socialism-from Venezuela's democratically elected president, Juan Guaido: Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó, speaking in an exclusive interview with FOX Business’ Trish Regan, is telling those on the far left, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. of New York and Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, that the root of Venezuela’s humanitarian crisis is directly tied to socialism. "It’s about a lack of information,” Guaidó said about Ocasio-Cortez and Omar on Monday. “So if you want to talk about the economy, we’re seeing 53 percent rates, 1,000 percent in inflation, lack of...

After talking about former Vice President Joe Biden’s potential run, co-anchor Poppy Harlow moved on to ask CNN political analyst and writer for Time magazine Molly Ball her thoughts on Abrams’ announcement. Harlow gushed, “What sort of hole would she fill with her candidacy if she opts in that isn’t filled with a candidate so far?” Referencing Abrams’ tweet announcing 2020 was "on the table," she added, “Is there any risk here of going too fast?” Ball agreed there was “always a risk” for new candidates, but that it was Abrams’ time to “seize her moment” for 2020: “Sure, that's...

Asked by Deputy Political Editor Amanda House during a wide-ranging, exclusive Oval Office interview with Breitbart News whether his administration is considering designating factions of cartels, or cartels as a whole, as terrorist groups, Trump replied that he is. “We are. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the team he assembled to investigate U.S. President Donald Trump and his associates have been funded through the end of September 2019, three U.S. officials said on Monday, an indication that the probe has funding to keep it going for months if need be. The operations and funding of Mueller’s office were not addressed in the budget requests for the next government fiscal year issued by the White House and Justice Department on Monday because Mueller’s office is financed by the U.S. Treasury under special regulations issued by the Justice Department, the...

Rahm is right. The Democrats are in a leftward lurch that could ruin their chances of retaking the White House. Rahm Emanuel, now stepping down after two terms as mayor of Chicago, knows something about winning elections. He was a key White House operative for Bill Clinton and chief of staff for Barack Obama. It was Rahm, as chairman of the Democratic campaign committee, who engineered the party's takeover of the House in 2006 — and is known for his hardball brand of politics, with all the subtlety of his frequent F-bombs. If Mayor Emanuel believes the Democrats are in...

Ocasio-Cortez and her top aide Saikat Chakrabarti have since December 2017, controlled the outside PAC credited with being the central force behind her June 2018 primary victory. There are many reasons the Senate should confirm Neomi Rao to the Court of Appeals for D.C. Circuit seat left vacant by Brett Kavanaugh’s elevation to the Supreme Court. She may very well be the cream of President Trump’s excellent crop of nominees to the federal judiciary. But it is her impressive scholarly writing on “dignity†that make her nomination timely – and especially worthy of quick Senate confirmation. Rao’s not talking about “dignity†in the everyday sense of the term (one’s manner of being).  What Rao has written about is the judicial or constitutional concept of dignity.  That is,the type...

The establishment media bloodbath continues this week with the news the far-left New York Magazine laid off five percent of its staff. According to various reports, New York Magazine laid off 32 staffers. Half were full-time, the other half were freelancers or part timers. The idea, apparently, is to “restructure,” whatever that means. What we have here is more proof that the so-called Trump Media Boom is just more fake news. One of the many ways our hideous media taunt President Trump is with the claim his political ascent has created flush times for the very same fake news industry...

Regardless of migration plans, Facebook users need to rethink connections to a social media Leviathan with shadowy connections to the Deep State, or to the censors who support Americans in name only. Facebook users need to vacate this online version Throughout 2018, social media giants came under serious scrutiny from the federal government. It was a different Administration, and in the aftermath of the data breach of sensitive personal information off of Facebook via Cambridge Analytica as a way of profiling and cataloguing political preferences of American voters, a substantial number of citizens became suspicious of Facebook’s purpose. Since last...

“If it turns out that there is a God … the worst that you can say about him is that basically he’s an underachiever.”—Woody Allen If you go into a Reform or Conservative temple, it’s likely that you will notice two things: The congregation is becoming smaller and older. Across the United States and Europe, Jewish congregations are aging at a rapid rate, a phenomenon increasingly common for mainstream religions across the high-income world. Overall, the American Jewish population—unlike that of demographically robust Israel—is on the decline, with a loss of 300,000 members over the past decade, a number expected...
