Regardless of migration plans, Facebook users need to rethink connections to a social media Leviathan with shadowy connections to the Deep State, or to the censors who support Americans in name only. Facebook users need to vacate this online version
Throughout 2018, social media giants came under serious scrutiny from the federal government. It was a different Administration, and in the aftermath of the data breach of sensitive personal information off of Facebook via Cambridge Analytica as a way of profiling and cataloguing political preferences of American voters, a substantial number of citizens became suspicious of Facebooks purpose. Since last year, this social media giant has increasingly lost credibility regarding the protection of the privacy of users information. However, new concerns have been surfacing since the start of the new year.
I’M SO IMPORTANT that the whole world needs to see pictures and accounts of every move i make or any vacation I go on or just have the honor of staring at my picture.
I’ll pass.
People you wouldn’t want to be seen in the same room with ‘associate’ with you on FB
No thanks
I left Facebook......so relieved!

We joke about my SIL all the time.
[wife, looking at FB] “SIL is at the beach, time to go rob her house.”
Thankfully I never got sucked into any of them. I’ve been here for 21 years. That’s enough socializing for me.
But, a photo of me and what I ordered for lunch is priceless!(/S)
I move to usa.life I am re-creating the groups that I follow on facebook on usa.life. Free speech there.
They certainly go out of their way to hide the trail to sign off.
They certainly do. But all your info, data and photos remain with them. Once you put it out there, it just disappears from view, but their database retains it.
I’ve never bothered with FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc. They’re all part of the Deep State, NSA. Google, and the DC Swamp.
Data collection.
Don’t you also pimp your CFP blog on Facebook?
That’s where the traffic is, after all.
I will try that one.
I use a fake account with nothing on it in order to access on line news sources to make comments on news articles........
They got your IP address, so they know who you are.
Same here, I feel like I dodged the social media bullet. It’s hard for me to imagine someone looking back from the year 2050 and thinking that the rise of the social media era was this great thing for culture and society.
Freegards
I think I got turned off on the stuff after having AOL when it first started. That was back in the dial-up days. I co-hosted two chatrooms then: Civil War and Genealogy at night. On a regular basis, some moron would come into the chatrooms, and try to disrupt them. At least we could manually block them. I hosted for a couple of years, but got burned out, and left AOL. When I first joined FR, a group of us used to meet in an IRC chat room in the evenings. A lot of us later met in Washington for FR get-togethers, and had a great time. Very good memories.
I am spying on all of you here at Freerepublic.
I noticed many of you are not wearing pants....
“... serious scrutiny...”
What a knee slapper.
