The TEA party movement was born of the threat Obamacare posed to us. It will send the enthusiasm on our side sky high. It will do very little to excite the Left – "hey we won didn’t we? The Supreme Court’s Obamacare ruling has placed weight of pulling America’s wagon on middle class people. In the short run Democrats will be delirious and their cheerleaders in the media will be insufferable – in the short run. They will all act as if they have forgotten what happened in the elections of 2010 – but we will remind them in November....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama says the Supreme Court's decision to uphold his health care overhaul is a "victory for people all over the country" and will make their lives more secure. Obama says the decision upholds the fundamental principle that in America - the wealthiest nation on earth - no one should fall into financial ruin because of an illness.

AUGUSTA, Me. — Three years after voters in Maine rejected same-sex marriage, they will consider the matter again in November. This time, advocates say they have reason for optimism. “It’s about love and family,” says Ms. Nugent, seen with Sam Lundquist, a Falmouth resident. Carroll Conley Jr., at his office in Augusta, is executive director of the Christian Civic League of Maine and a leader of the opposition campaign. They point to a shift in public opinion, the personal support for same-sex marriage voiced last month by President Obama and what they believe is an effective door-to-door “persuasion” campaign throughout...

An indie developer working on a new version of its signature title for Microsoft's new tablet said its compatibility with the Xbox 360 controllers presents some interesting advantages for the player and new challenges for designers. Creative director Jake Kazdal and the rest of the crew at 17-Bit (formerly Haunted Temple Games) are prepping their turn-based strategy title Skulls of the Shogun for the Microsoft Surface, according to a blog post on Wired's GameLife. Kazdal said players can control their game with the touchscreen display, a mouse and even an Xbox 360 controller, thanks to the USB port provided by...

It should be safe to say that it is perfectly acceptable to cancel the fourth of July as a paid holiday. Particularly if you are a Freeper business owner. Many of the grievances stated as the reason for the original declaration has been far surpassed. At the Boiling point house hold it will no longer be celebrated but mourned. Old glory will forever be relegated to a historic relic of a once great nation. It no longer represents the uplifting patriotic, proud feeling it once did, nor does it represent a country currently worth fighting for. RIPUSA.

Republican governors are planning to ignore the Supreme Court's decision Thursday to uphold Obamacare hoping that the issue will drive voters to dump President Obama in favor of Mitt Romney who has vowed to kill the Affordable Care Act. After the decision, the Republican Governors Association said that nothing should be done by the states until after the election, a clear signal that they believe a GOP president, House and Senate will kill the health care reform pushed through by Democrats and opposed by Republicans. RGA Chairman Bob McDonnell said, "Today's ruling crystallizes all that's at stake in November's election....

There are markers in history that denote the turning points of men. In our grand and sometimes dreadful account of America, the markers are notable by their noise at the onset and their rumble of their aftershocks. Today, an uttering on One First Street NE in Washington, DC was quiet. But the rumbles and aftershocks will be heard for an era. The relationship between the individual and the Federal Government is permanently altered. The government is now our master, even if Obamacare is repealed. The coup is executed, the fruit is yet to be gleaned. Today it is healthcare, tomorrow...

On the eve of the Supreme Court's decision on Obamacare, taxpayers are reminded that the President's healthcare law is one of the largest tax increases in American history. Obamacare contains 20 new or higher taxes on American families and small businesses. On Thursday, Americans for Tax Reform will do a full analysis of the tax implications of the Court's decision. Arranged by their respective effective dates, below is the total list of all $500 billion-plus in tax hikes (over the next ten years) in Obamacare, where to find them in the bill, and how much your taxes are scheduled to...

Production on the set of "Mister Ed, The Motion Picture," has ground to a halt. Sarah Jessica Parker is reportedly refusing to continue filming with her verbose palomino co-star. The problem seems to be the dangerously toxic nature of horse sense to the liberal leftist actress. The only known antidote for horse sense exposure is a copious dose of twittery. Ms. Parker was rushed to her New York City home for treatment. The President and First Lady, along with a throng of well heeled twits, rushed to her side for an emergency dinner party.

The Supreme Court ruling on President Obama's health care law is complicated, just like the law itself. Today the court said the law is mostly constitutional. Here is what it means for you: - You have to buy health insurance or be subject to a tax - If you are under 26, you can get health insurance from the plan your parents use. - If you're on Medicare, you can get free mammograms. - If you have what's called a pre-existing condition, you can get health insurance. - Insurance companies can't deny you coverage even if you get sick and...

What gives life to that document is the consensus of the people who uphold it. It has no special magic. It is fragile. If our society choses to change or disregard it entirely, it means nothing, affords no protection. The shift away from its governing principles has been slow and continuous but determined. The Kelo v. New London case went a long way towards erasing individual property rights, which are the foundation of our personal freedom. With the decision to uphold the individual mandate of Obamacare, the government has just consumed another large portion of our indiviudal liberty. Where will...

With The Supreme Court upholding Obamacare, The Death Panels are not far behind. If you are a Democrat and need a kidney, you get it. If you are a member of the Tea Party and need a kidney, sorry you are out of luck. Very soon, Death Panels will decide who lives and who dies. How will these Death Panels make life and death decisions? I think I know the answer.

A spray-on battery could revolutionise technology - allowing for slimmer gadgets, and household gizmos with built-in power supplies. The lithium-ion battery, which can be painted on to virtually every surface, works by 'spraying on' the chemical layers which form a battery. The new battery could make solar gadgets practical by building up their storage, without hefty long-life batteries building up their bulk. It has already been tested on bathroom panels, producing a steady 2.4 volts and being recharged by a solar cell, says Nature's Scientific Reports. Hailed as a 'paradigm changer' by creators at Rice University the technology could one...

With all eyes on the individual mandate Thursday, Mitt Romney got a shout-out from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in her opinion on the Affordable Care Act.Writing on the subject of providing affordable insurance to those with preexisting conditions, Ginsburg noted that Massachusetts “cracked [the] adverse selection problem.” and highlighted briefs explaining “the success of Massachusetts’ reforms.”Under the Massachusetts health system, most residents were required to buy insurance so that insurance companies wouldn’t be left only with sick customers – and thus skyrocketing premiums.“As a result, federal lawmakers observed, Massachusetts succeeded where other States had failed,” Ginsburg wrote.

As a guy who's been unemployed for a few months, I've made a habit of looking for silver linings in the darkness. Folks, there is some good news to this monstrosity: now Romney's path to the White House is pretty much assured. Up until today, Obama had one issue that was haunting him: the economy. He could blame the GOP for not doing being "bipartisan"...a charge that has always made me nauseous. But as of today, Obama's got to defend a policy that the majority of American people don't like. And he can't blame the Republicans for this - they...
