  • Ken Ham at it Again: Assembly of God Church has Joined Compromisers

    09/12/2010 4:43:31 PM PDT · by truthfinder9 · 67 replies
Ken Ham and his "Answers in Genesis" have been long criticized for their attacks on Christians who don't agree with his Genesis interpretation, his misrepresentation of what those people believe and Ham/AiG's complete lack of anything resembling biblical scholarship. So now they attack the Assemblies of God churches (http://blogs.answersingenesis.org/blogs/ken-ham/2010/09/08/a-sad-day-for-the-assemblies-of-god-denomination/) for not latching on to the uncritical AiG beliefs. Hopefully, the AoG are simply trying to work through the issues at a scholarly level (something AiG cannot seem to do) and won't follow the current trend of some Christians in accepting theistic evolution. It is the fault of people like Ken...

If you watched the Day 10 video, you know that our big announcement was regarding an interview we did with George Rath of the K-Love Christian Radio Network. That’s right – Family Media Detox is going nationwide, Baby! The interviews will air at several times throughout the day, usually on the 40 minute mark of the hour. We hope you can listen! A note about today’s video: Jim demonstrates a prank in which he pretends to stick a fork in his eye, when in actuality he punctures a packet of Half-and-Half concealed in his palm. Just wanted you to be...

Not even dark clouds and the threat of rain could keep Patriots from across the nation from marching on Capitol Hill today, as they did one year ago. The march began at the Washington Monument and proceeded up to Pennsylvania Ave. to the Capitol lawn. Among the speakers were Tito the Builder: Rep. Mike Pence: The Gatlin Bros. sang "America the Beautiful" and a new rendition of "All The Gold in California," in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills in Nancy Pelosi's name!

EL PASO - She lived a double life. At the border crossing, she was Agent Garnica, a veteran law enforcement officer. In the shadows, she was "La Estrella," the star, a brassy looker who helped drug cartels make a mockery of the U.S. border. Martha Garnica devised secret codes, passed stacks of cash through car windows and sketched out a map for smugglers to safely haul drugs and undocumented workers across the border. For that she was richly rewarded; she lived in a spacious house with a built-in pool, owned two Hummers and vacationed in Europe. For years, until an...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has recorded a last-minute robocall for Kelly Ayotte's Senate campaign in New Hampshire. "Kelly is one tough 'Granite Grizzly' who has broken barriers, fought off and locked up criminals, and stood up for New Hampshire families," Palin said in the automated message that will go out to GOP voters ahead of Tuesday's primary. Palin calls Ayotte "the true conservative running for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire," in the call. "She will cut spending, eliminate earmarks, protect your 2nd Amendment rights and bring some much-needed Granite State common sense to the Senate." Unlike in...

The President's actions are so bizarre that they mystify his critics and supporters alike. (snip) But instead of readying us for the challenge, our President is trapped in his father's time machine. Incredibly, the U.S. is being ruled according to the dreams of a Luo tribesman of the 1950s. This philandering, inebriated African socialist, who raged against the world for denying him the realization of his anticolonial ambitions, is now setting the nation's agenda through the reincarnation of his dreams in his son. The son makes it happen, but he candidly admits he is only living out his father's dream....

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have a packed social schedule this week, with two major galas and a reception for college athletes. On Monday evening, the President will welcome collegiate star athletes to the White House for a reception at 5:45 p.m. The annual event, first held by former President George W. Bush, recognizes outstanding student athletes in more than a dozen sports, including field-hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball. Neither of Obama's alma maters, Columbia University and Harvard University, made the grade. On Wednesday the First Couple will don black tie for the annual Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute...

Chicago bid for Rep. Gutierrez could be loss for immigration reform pushBy Russell Berman - 09/11/10 10:03 PM ET While Chicago supporters of Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) are pushing him to run for mayor, immigration advocates in Washington are less enthusiastic about seeing one of their leading champions leave the Capitol. Now in his ninth term, Gutierrez is considering whether to join a wide-open field of contenders for Chicago’s top job after longtime Mayor Richard Daley announced this week he would not seek re-election. A winning bid by Gutierrez would be an unmistakable loss for the immigration reform movement in...

A BRISBANE-based atheist has risked inflaming political and religious tensions by posting a video on YouTube showing him burning pages from both the Koran and the Bible. The video, by lawyer and Brisbane Atheists member, Alex Stewart, 29, comes as international outrage continues over the proposed burning of multiple copies of the Koran by a radical Christian pastor in the US. Yesterday, the president of the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, Ikebal Patel, slammed the video. "I think it's highly offensive that he has done this to two of the holiest books in the world," Mr Patel said. "It does...
