One day Energy Secretary Ed Milliband sets out his proposed expansion of the U.K.'s wind power-led alternative energy revolution; the next day, Vestas, the U.K.'s largest wind turbine manufacturer, shuts down a big part of its British operations citing "low demand" and public opposition to onshore wind farms. ----------------------------------------------------- In fact, with fewer than 2,400 wind turbines in operation across Britain currently, the U.K. would still require a further 100,000 to meet its targets. Plenty of scope for massive wind turbine growth, we might think. So why the Vestas pullout?

To the sons and daughters of our Founding Fathers, "Health care" under Obama's drastic plot is neither healthy nor caring, as these actual pages of the bill below will demonstrate. Ever since our founding fathers broke free from tyranny of a foreign power, enemies of America have always sought to destroy her special place in history. German "National Socialists" in the 1940s and Liberals from the 2000s, their goal is the same: the annihilation of freedom and the American way of life. America has a special place in history. Marxists wish to destroy it. Ever there was a time to...

I ask you Sir to NOT apologize AGAIN.If Nazi Pelosi and the rest of the Communists want to censure you, then let them.Stand tall because "We The People"are with you. PRIMARY school students have been banned from reading the teen cult classic Twilight books because they are too racy and contradict religious beliefs. Librarians have stripped the books from shelves in some junior schools because they believe the content is too sexual and goes against religious beliefs. They even have asked parents not to let kids bring their own copies of Stephenie Meyer's smash hit novels _ which explore the stormy love affair between a teenage girl and a vampire _ to school. Santa Sabina College at Strathfield was so concerned about the Twilight craze that teachers ran a seminar...

Eight years after the events of Sept. 11, 2001 that unleashed the "war on terror" and brought regime changes in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Islamist (or Islamofascist) beast remains alive. The "war on terror," as former president George W. Bush defined it, is over and President Barack Obama's "overseas contingency operations" mean returning to the pre-9/11 world. This return to Sept. 10 thinking was anticipated. No democracy can wage any sort of war indefinitely and the "war on terror" went well beyond the duration of America's decisive engagements in the two world wars of the last century. Setting aside for...

The EU will investigate the billions of euros of state aid offered by the German Government to the Russian-Canadian rescuers of GM Europe. Within hours of the deal being sealed between General Motors, Magna and Russia’s Sberbank, the European Commission said it would examine the financial support offered by the German government, totalling €4.5 billion. The German bailout, funded by its taxpayers, also came under fire in Belgium where a big Opel factory will be closed. Joelle Milquet, Belgium’s vice-premier, criticised the deal that safeguards the future of four Opel plants in Germany while a plant in Antwerp, employing 2,700...

Tributes have been paid to a soldier killed during the rescue of a journalist kidnapped in Afghanistan. Corporal John Harrison, 29, from the Parachute Regiment, was described as "a wonderful son, brother and a dedicated soldier" by his family. He died in a daring pre-dawn operation on Wednesday to rescue Stephen Farrell, a reporter with the New York Times. Mr Farrell, who holds dual British and Irish citizenship, was successfully released during the raid but his Afghan interpreter Sultan Munadi also died. Cpl Harrison's family said: "We are absolutely heartbroken. "John was a wonderful son, brother and a dedicated soldier...

Spurgeon's Morning & Evening - September 12 -------------------------------- Morning Devotional "God is jealous." - Nahum 1:2 Your Lord is very jealous of your love, O believer. Did he choose you? He cannot bear that you should choose another. Did he buy you with his own blood? He cannot endure that you should think that you are your own, or that you belong to this world. He loved you with such a love that he would not stop in heaven without you; he would sooner die than you should perish, and he cannot endure that anything should stand between your heart's...

A year ago this week, I wrote the following concerning liberal Democrat Joe Lieberman being invited to speak at the 2008 Republican National Convention and conservative Republican Ron Paul being shut out: "If you are pro-gun control, pro-socialized healthcare, pro-choice, pro-amnesty, all of these liberal positions can be tolerated so long as you are pro-war. If you are a staunch conservative on virtually every issue, if you're not pro-war, you're no longer welcome in the Republican Party." The name of my piece was "The War Party" and that's exactly what the GOP was in September 2008. What a difference a...

But Troy Kastigar stood out from his fellow recruits, because the Minneapolis man was not Somali. Kastigar, 28, was a Muslim convert who apparently had no personal ties to the lawless east African country. Troy Kastigar's family received reports of his death within the past week, according to friends of the family. The circumstances of his reported death aren't clear, and the information could not be confirmed by the FBI."

It's been a long time since we Americans have gunned down one of our leaders, but we seem to be gearing up to do it again. Nearly three decades have passed since President Ronald Reagan and his press secretary were shot in the nation's capital following a speaking engagement there. A few years earlier, President Gerald Ford survived two near-miss assassination attempts. Thirteen years before the Reagan shooting, Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King were assassinated in the course of a very troubled few months in 1968. That was, of course, just five years after we lost a young president...

Back in October of 2008, an article was written in the Orlando Sentinel where it was stated that Senator McCain called for an investigation into ACORN... John McCain took aother jab at the left-wing community organizing group ACORN today at a rally in Wisconsin, referencing various complaints that the group has signed up the same would-be voters multiple times in states like Ohio. "There are serious allegations of voter fraud in the battleground states across America. They must be investigated," he said to cheers. Will Senator McCain do the right thing and lead the charge in requesting that every Conyers,...

England is deserted, Australia and New Zealand have merged, and the man who bought Ireland has killed himself. They were designed to make Dubai the envy of the world: a series of paradise islands inhabited by celebrities and the super-rich reclaimed from the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf and shaped like a map of the Earth. It was called The World. As millions of tonnes of rock were dumped into the sea for the foundations, timely leaks suggested that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were to buy Ethiopia, Sir Richard Branson was tipped to occupy England, while Rod Stewart...

I want to send out my best wishes to everyone in Washington today for 9/12 and all those participating in 9/12 events across the country. One thing I take seriously is the need to get my own life together. That urgent need will keep me away from these events today. I have stressed the need to sanity and sobriety in lives. In that spirit I will be unable to be a part of today's events. The time has come to stand up to evil in our country and for any of us who dare to do so we can expect...

PHOTO: Boeing pitches OV-10X Bronco for USAF light attack By Stephen Trimble on September 11, 2009 Boeing confirms it has proposed building new OV-10s with upgraded avionics and weapons for the US Air Force light attack contract. Subscription-only Inside the Air Force broke the news this morning. Boeing provided the photo above, providing a glimpse of the new OV-10 concept. The image will surely be embraced by the Bronco's devoted following, who remember the aircraft's notably effective service in the Vietnam War. The OV-10 could face competition from other Vietnam-era light attack aircraft, such as the Piper Aircraft PA-48 Enforcer....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic leaders are planning a House vote early next week to admonish Republican Rep. Joe Wilson if he does not apologize on the House floor for yelling ''You lie!'' during President Barack Obama's health care address to Congress. National attention from the heckling episode has money pouring into Wilson's campaign treasury and that of his 2010 Democratic challenger. Wilson had raised more than $700,000 since the incident as of Friday, according to the National Republican Congressional Committee. His opponent, Rob Miller, had received more than $1 million from 25,000 donors nationwide, said his campaign manager, Lindsay Zoeller.
