A California lawyer seeking a default judgment against Barack Obama in her case challenging his eligibility to hold the office of president is trying multiple ways to notify him of the action, in light of a judge's order to do everything possible to assure that notification. The Supreme Court ruled today that white firefighters in New Haven, Conn., were unfairly denied promotions because of their race, reversing a decision that high court nominee Sonia Sotomayor endorsed as an appeals court judge.
