Approximately one month ago the FBI had sent out a memo stated that they had cut off all ties with the terrorist supporting Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Apparently none of that matters to North Carolina Muslim Senator Larry Shaw.

Harsh winter weather did not deter hundreds of young people from gathering on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol to push for new legislation on energy and global warming. Organizers say the rally was one of the largest in the U.S. focused on climate change. Despite snow and freezing temperatures, hundreds of students -- appropriately wearing green -- rallied in front of the U.S. Capitol Monday demanding that Congress pass comprehensive energy and climate legislation. The rally was part of a weekend conference in Washington called Power Shift 09, for young people concerned about climate change. Katherine McEachern, a college...

Here is complete video of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's speech to a Joint Meeting of the United States Congress today, March 4, 2009. The first portion of Brown's speech was magnificent, as he talked eloquently and movingly of the relationship between the United States and Great Britain forged by the blood and sacrifice of American Soldiers through two World Wars. Brown shows himself to be an outstanding speaker, and his words in the first thirteen minutes of the speech are worth listening to. The second part of the speech was quite different, finding Brown urging the United States to...

Well-Oiled Tyranny by: Heather Latham, March 04, 2009 Hugo Chavez is the president of Venezuela, but, as Michael Rowan, author of The Threat Closer to Home, asserted a recent Heritage Foundation event, “Venezuela is not a democracy… Chavez controls the voter rolls, the electronic voting machines. He does a centralized count on every election; no one knows the actual voting tabulation from 2004 to today.” In effect, Chavez is the “elected” dictator. The question of the day is: how can Chavez get away with this? There is no answering voice. Though usually the world would turn to the United States...

Sarah Palin is a woman who means business when she talks of reform. The one person none of the boys in Washington like, she lives and works west of the Rockies (let alone the Mississippi), was educated at a university without Ivy on its walls, is not of the monied class, and actually intends to confront the corruption and hypocrisy emanating from both the Republican and Democratic parties.

In his new book, The Last Goodnights: Assisting My Parents with Their Suicides, lawyer and author John West publicly tells a story that most people would have kept silent. He does it so that one day others may be able to kill openly and without fear. That’s not how West puts it, of course, but I’m afraid that’s what it boils down to. West’s parents were prestigious psychiatrists. As West wrote, “Neither was at all religious, but both had deep insight into the human condition. . . . And they knew what they wanted.” What they wanted was to die...

[T]he entire decision to go after Rush Limbaugh was cooked up by supposedly clever White House aides and outside advisors. David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager last year and a member of his inner circle still, will publish an op-ed in Wednesday's Washington Post chiding Republicans for being "paralyzed with fear of crossing their leader.” [But now Rush] has challenged Obama to a one-on-one debate on his radio show, no teleprompters please. With an ineptness that leaves one breathless, the Obama team has now effectively labeled Obama himself as "paralyzed with fear" if in fact the President doesn't have the guts...

Is the Obama White House vetting prayers? Dan Gilgoff of U.S. News and World Report reports that this represents a "new tradition" established by the administration of President Barack Obama. As Gilgoff revealed, "In a departure from previous presidents, his public rallies are opening with invocations that have been commissioned and vetted by the White House." The issue of public prayer is increasingly controversial in an age of religious diversity and increasing secularization. Yet, prayers at government ceremonies and events have been common since the nation's founding and, until recently, few prayers related to White House events have been controversial. ...

LONDON: The ethical aspect notwithstanding, an Italian doctor has claimed to have cloned three human babies who are "healthy" and now living in eastern Europe. "I helped give birth to three children with the human cloning technique. It involved two boys and a girl who are nine years old today. They were born healthy and they are in excellent health now," the Daily Telegraph quoted Severino Antinori as telling the 'Oggi' weekly. "The women's eggs were impregnated in a laboratory through a method called 'nuclear transfer'," he said, adding that the method used was "an improvement" over the technique used...
