Here is complete video of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's speech to a Joint Meeting of the United States Congress today, March 4, 2009. The first portion of Brown's speech was magnificent, as he talked eloquently and movingly of the relationship between the United States and Great Britain forged by the blood and sacrifice of American Soldiers through two World Wars. Brown shows himself to be an outstanding speaker, and his words in the first thirteen minutes of the speech are worth listening to.

The second part of the speech was quite different, finding Brown urging the United States to jump on the "Climate Change" (Global Warming) bandwagon and take the lead in it. Brown also announced that Queen Elizabeth II has awarded Sen. Ted Kennedy an honorary knighthood. He also pushed his "Global New Deal" that would see the United States spend huge amounts of money building a global economy. . . . . . (Watch Video)

I hope that the majority of the British people viewed Obama's Oval Office Press Appearance with Brown. Without his teleprompter, Obama was almost totally unable to articulate a logical and understandable phrase having to do with a policy issue. He made Bush look good.

IMHO - Anyone who viewed that appearance, friend or foe, had to come away wondering whether "...this guy Obama is anywhere near as sharp as I thought he was."
