I seem to recall that when Clinton was CIC the marines stood either side of the steps and saluted but stayed facing the opening. For President Bush, they saluted and then turned to face him as he walked away.
Anyone notice how they treat Zero?

Yep - like night and day.
With President Bush there was genuine enthusiasm and appreciation. With President Obama it seemed most were there only because they were ordered to attend. The only applause was very light, formal clapping from the Officers on the platform. They didn’t look too happy either.
I just showed this to the Chief. All he could says was, “WOW.”
The troops really miss President Bush.

I recall November of ‘03, when GWB made his surprise Thanksgiving visit to the war zone. The room exploded, and the glee and delight was evident on every smiling soldier.
The One (piss be upon him) inspires nothing remotely near this. We know who our friends are.
And the majority of the American people are NOT our friends - they voted for The One (his name be pissed).
That brought tears to my eyes. Mostly because of the incredible boost in morale Bush gave our troops. It’s got to be harder than ever for them to keep morale up with a clown in office. He offers NO leadership. NO support. Nothing. God Bless Our Troops!! b hussein sure as hell won’t.

...I agree 110%! It’s difficult for me to be even civil with anyone when I discover they voted for bhussein. They voted against my family, my country and God.
