(IsraelNN.com) The Hevron Jewish Community has released a sharp, detailed report accusing the Israeli Government of breach of trust, abuse, and hostility towards the Jewish owners of Arab-stolen property in the City of the Patriarchs. Whatever our feelings about this president, it's obvious to all of us that his job, never easy, is today a crucible of frustration, vituperation, condemnation, lowered public approval and even downright opposition from some in his own party. I'm thinking that, though he has not uttered words like these, there are times President Bush might very much want to: Normally, I start these things out by saying, "My fellow Americans." Not doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don't know who more than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - One of the biggest U.S. trade unions made an unusual dual endorsement in the 2008 White House race on Thursday, backing Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Mike Huckabee for their parties' presidential nominations. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, which has about 720,000 active and retired members, backed a candidate from each party for the first time after a recent survey found about one-third of union members voted Republican and two-thirds Democratic. "The dual endorsement is intended to involve all IAM members in the upcoming election," said IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger. The endorsement was...

Confidential strategy directives from the National Education Association urge the union's field representatives involved in the collective bargaining process to "attack the chief school administrator" and "mislead" their own members. The confidential NEA documents obtained by OneNewsNow carry the title "NEA Strategy Directives to Field Representatives for Difficult Negotiations." The documents recommend strategies for field representatives who are engaged in negotiations with school districts that are reticent to certify the powerful teacher's union. One strategy the NEA calls "Block the boss" calls on field reps to "Attack the chief school administrator. Charge him with poor mismanagement, poor working conditions and...

You've got to hand it to U.S. Sen. Larry Craig. The Idaho Republican has established his legacy. He will forever be known as the political leader who gave new meaning to the term "layover". By now the nation has heard the conservative lawmaker's strained denials when he faced the press on Tuesday and said: "I am not a crook." No, wait a minute. That was Nixon. Craig said, "I am not gay." http://www.spokesman.com/breaking/story.asp?ID=11289 Video: http://www.spokesmanreview.com/media/video/?ID=1228 Download song in MP3

Here is an interesting site. You have to register and as is always the case some of the answer choices leave something to be desired, but overall it is fun. http://www.politichoice.com/candidate match I scored out 87% Republican My top three matches of the leading candidate in order: Fred - 85.3% Mike H. - 81.5% Mitt - 80.7% Nothing surprising there. I would probably pick Mike as my first choice if I thought he could win and Mitt would be my second choice, but I like Fred I just have concerns over the fire in his belly. Any of the 3...

Fidel Castro is an ingrate. That must be what Sen. Christopher Dodd is thinking now that Cuba's communist tyrant has endorsed a Democratic ticket of Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. "The word today is that an apparently unbeatable ticket could be Hillary for president and Obama as her running mate," he wrote in a column Tuesday in Cuba's Communist Party newspaper, Granma. He also had nice things to say about two of his favorite stooges: Jimmy Carter, for trying to normalize relations between the United States and Cuba during his feckless presidency; and Bill Clinton, for his part in...

Archbishop Elden Curtiss Omaha, Nebraska, Aug 30, 2007 / 10:34 am (CNA).- Creighton University has been in the news lately, but not because of a new research breakthrough or one of its athletic team’s good records. The Jesuit-run university is in the limelight because of what seems to be a pattern of disagreement with the Archdiocese of Omaha within which it is located. The most recent development in the relationship between the two Catholic institutions is the invitation, and then a last minute retraction by the university for the pro-assisted suicide speaker Anne Lamott to speak. Creighton University officials said they...

With more of us eating out in restaurants and cafes than ever before, modern Britain likes to think of itself as a nation of gourmands. But how much do we really know about the food we consume away from home? While many of us may now be familiar with culinary terms such as "jus" and "confit", the same cannot always be said of our understanding of our food's provenance. This week an ITV documentary revealed that those "prime steaks" and "gourmet burgers" in many wellknown restaurant chains and pubs are not from traditional beef breeds like Aberdeen Angus at all.They...

Some facilities that handle the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile misplaced classified bomb components under their care, according to an Energy Department audit. The department's Inspector General also found there was confusion at the facilities over who was responsible for keeping track of weapons parts and recommended changes in how to better safeguard the parts. John Broehm, a spokesman for the department's National Nuclear Security Administration that oversees the U.S. nuclear weapons arsenal, said his agency disagreed with the recommendations. He said the parts, which he declined to identify, were later found. A summary of the IG's audit -- a little-noticed...
