From "Light the Lamp!": The monthly newsletter of the Holy Flame Pentecostal Church of Little Rock, Ark.
We welcome back to the area Senator Hillary Clinton (D., N.Y.), who has been spending so much time here in Little Rock lately that she's practically joined the church choir! "I'm here spending time at my husband's library," she told the Lamp when we caught up with her after a Sunday camp meeting, "and of course, I always take time to worship God in as evangelical a way as is feasible, given time and location constraints. As you know, I consider myself an evangelical Christian, really a Christian conservative, if you want to know the truth, so it's nice to be 'home' again in the South, which I really consider my quote-unquote home even though I live in New York most of the time. Well, Washington, D.C., most of the time, actually, but if I'm not there I'm in New York, of course, but always thinking about being here, in the South, my spiritual home, where I shared so many wonderful evangelical . . . moments and . . . events. Can you read that back to me?" The "Light the Lamp!" staff would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Christ loves all of us equally, and that God's house is open to all, even to senators from New York, so whoever is muttering stuff and saying mean things while pretending to cough can just quit it right now.

State/federal government, what difference does it make? Every State has libraries, roads, and schools. Or is it something else you're afraid of?
To: DollyRocker
I'm more specifically talking about the effects of tax cuts and their way of stimulating economic growth. Bush and MOST GOP understand it. Reagan understood it. It seems the last Democrat that understood it was John F. Kennedy.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the after-effects during the 60's, 80's - 90's, and the current rebound to figure it out.
Demokrauts think that raising taxes is good for the economy.

Next thing you know Hillary (and Bill) will be going to divinity school, and will get consecrated into the ministry just in time for 2008.

You cannot PROVE that tax cuts stimulate economic growth, and more than that you can't prove that they create employment. there's a little thing called the human factor that is usually left out of orthodox economics.

Oh, then you aren't American then? Hmm? Good question. I bet not. May even be Jacques Chirac himself ??

Federal government has what is called a CONSTITUTION, this aged document, tried and true limits the function of the Federal Government. States can do what they want and if you don't like it, you can move to another state. But Our Federal Government wasn't designed to do those things. State Governments legislate those things. If you do not know how our form of government works, you need to do some research.
I find you to be a troll.

"I find you to be a troll."
Why? Am I asking too many questions?
To: DollyRocker
The questions you are asking are not for discussion but to merely entice a reaction.
If you have a difference of opinion, that's fine, but you have to complete the structure for appropriate debate.
Let's get some demographic info,
Where are you from, age and schooling. Then we can procede.
Otherwise, you are here just to instigate.

What bearing does my age and location have to do with anything?
Re the schooling, I'm currently working on my honours undergrad degree in sociology (last year).
To: Izzy Dunne
Keillor said "born agains" shouldn't vote. Now that Hilly thinks she is one, perhaps she should surrender her senate seat along with her right to vote (by his logic, anyway).
To: Murp
When bill lost his first re-election bid as governor to a born-again evangelical Christian, bill was quoted as saying "I'll never be 'out-christianed' again." It was then that hillary quit being just "hillary rodham" and took clinton's name.

Well,
You are asking me the question and you are taking socialogy...Interesting.
Age = Intelligence. Obviously if you were a 10 year old, it would help understand that you have no clue about American Government.
Location = If you were in Europe, that would help understand your socialistic view points and your lack of American History and Government.
Last but not least, you mentioned that you never had a democrat president. Obviously you either forgot about Clinton leaving the office 4 years ago, or you never were in the United States to have a president.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

Okay, Hill, IF you are an evangelical Christian, let's hear you describe the moment you accepted Christ as your Savior. In full.
Let's hear you speak of this conversion for only 10 minutes. Not a day, not an hour, only 10 minutes.
My guess is that your explanation will lack the spiritual understanding those that have become Christians hold. I KNOW G.W. is a Christian and it has nothing to do with the fact he has "said so". We'll know in your case as well.
