Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), a former member of the Jan. 6 committee, sought to distinguish between the pardon he received from former President Biden compared to those President Trump gave to those who stormed the Capitol. Just hours apart, both Biden and Trump issued a number of pardons. An order from Biden gave a preemptive pardon to all nine members of the panel that investigated the attack on the Capitol, while Trump, through a series of pardons and commutations, cleared the slate for the more than 1,500 people being prosecuted for the attack. “Look, the people who were pardoned the...

Republicans roasted Attorney General Merrick Garland on social media after a video of him doing a victory lap while leaving the Department of Justice became viral. In the clip, which was posted on Friday via X, a celebratory Garland walked and thanked cheering department staffers while the outgoing AG exited out of the building. But, in response, prominent critics of Garland blasted the attorney general and his record. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) ripped Garland in a fiery X post. “Merrick Garland has left @TheJusticeDept for the FINAL TIME,” Donalds said. “His DOJ attacked political opponents. His DOJ was unprecedentedly weaponized....

Adam Schiff is a weasel. He is a conniving, slimy, dishonest piece of filth. That’s not half of what I wanted to say about him. The weasel helped to sideline Devin Nunes and Jeff Sessions to keep them from exposing the Russia hoax. The weasel has a penchant for making up conversations out of thin air. He made one up between Trump and Zelensky and entered it into the official record. He fabricated another between Trump and Putin. “If the president went further and said to Putin in that secret meeting,” Schiff said earlier in the day on the Senate floor. “I want you to hack Burisma, I couldn’t get the...

And thus, plans which have been talked about at some levels of having a wider indiscriminate massive deportation across the country would be something that would be incompatible with Catholic doctrine.” (snip)The cardinal did not elaborate on which elements of Catholic doctrine he believes prohibit the deportation of migrants who enter a country illegally.

Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claimed Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that President-elect Donald Trump’s violent rhetoric had not stopped and caused the hammer attack on her husband, Paul. Partial transcript as follows: MARGARET BRENNAN: You know, tomorrow morning at the Capitol you and other members of Congress will be there to certify the election win in 2024 of Donald Trump. There’s an unprecedented level of security, in part because of what happened four years ago with the violent attack by his supporters to change the outcome of the last election. Why do you think that so many members of...

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) claimed Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he and other top Democrats did not mislead the American public about President Joe Biden’s decline in mental acuity. Host Kristen Welker said, “Obviously, there has been a lot of focus on President Biden’s role in this. You were, obviously, in close contact with President Biden well before the public tuned into that debate that ultimately led to him stepping down. I want to play you a little bit of something you said last year. Take a look. In 2024, on Capitol Hill, Schumer said, “I...

What’s your reaction?” Garcia said, “Look, I think all these new ideas that Trump is coming out with and his proclamations over the weekend, besides being unconstitutional are quite un-American and shameful. I’m an immigrant myself. I came in this country part of the time, I was not...
