I am being told by a representative of Yext.com that in order to change any of my business listings on the internet I have to PAY - that all of this information has been monetized and that information, even if I want to remove to is basically owned by someone else. Is this true? Is there a way I can correct errors in my business info without paying an arm and a leg?

My own observation is that the web page for Kirkpatrick (D. AZ1) refuses any more comments about the border, disease, etc. but will accept comments on other topics. Anyone else experience the same situation with her or maybe a different congresscritter? The uproar must be increasing. What say?

Jonathan Keeler resigned from the Derry Twp. School Board yesterday, saying he hoped to end "unjustified public scrutiny" after school administrators and news media found his sexually explicit personal Web page. Keeler wrote in his resignation letter, sent yesterday morning, that the unearthing of his MySpace.com page was politically motivated. "I dared to challenge the status quo of the Derry Twp. political machine, and this is my punishment," he wrote in the letter. He said he wanted to fight back in what he considers a freedom-of-speech issue, but his wife was uncomfortable.

I have a web site on which I post information about myself and my business. It's a hosted site, and I have my own domain. I've been using FrontPage to create and upload material. Here's what I would like to have happen: After the page loads, have an image on that page automatically dissolve to a second one (in the same position), then dissolve to a third, or fourth, then repeat back to the first. I have come across several web pages that do nothing but display information. These pages, however, are SSL-encrypted. That is, their address begins https rather than http, and I see the little padlock icon at the lower right. I could understand the encryption if the page were asking for confidential/personal information. However, the web pages in this case don't do so. What is the reasoning behind the encryption, therefore? What is the downside, in addition to (?) slower performance (?). Thanks.
