GROSSE TETE, La. - A woman bit a camel in defense after she reportedly went into its truck stop zoo enclosure to get her dog. The Advocate reported Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office officials said the woman's husband threw dog treats under Caspar the camel's fence Wednesday night at a Tiger Truck Stop in Grosse Tete, Louisiana. Police Investigate Two Suspicious Truck Drivers POSTED: 2:21 pm EDT August 21, 2006 JEFFERSON COUNTY -- Could two suspicious truck drivers reported to police in Jefferson County have ties to terrorism? Last night at about 11:30pm someone at the Travel Centers of America Truck Stop noticed something suspicious and reported it to police. The police report says two unidentified men who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent were operating a tractor trailer carrying an unknown radioactive material. The town Planning Board took no action to block a racy sign showing a chesty cartoon beaver that Gramuglia plans to install when he reopens the old Northeast Truck Stop. OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Authorities in Mississippi say they've arrested two suspects in a string of killings of truck stop prostitutes, including several in Oklahoma. Authorities say John Williams[pictured] and Rachel Cumberland[pictured] of Carthage, Mississippi, have pleaded guilty in the kidnapping and death of a Mississippi woman and are suspects in the truck stop killings. The two are being held without bond. Williams and Cumberland are due in court next week on kidnapping and murder charges in the death of Jennifer Hyman of Oklahoma City.
