(Reuters) - President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in an interview published on Friday that if Ukraine does not get promised U.S. military aid blocked by disputes in Congress, its forces will have to retreat "in small steps"."If there is no U.S. support, it means that we have no air defence, no Patriot missiles, no jammers for electronic warfare, no 155-milimetre artillery rounds," Zelenskiy told the Washington Post."It means we will go back, retreat, step by step, in small steps," he said. "We are trying to find some way not to retreat."Shortages of munitions, he said, meant "you have to do with...

After distancing himself from Donald Trump following his departure from the White House in 2021, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has now revealed he is eager to serve in another Trump administration. Asked by Fox News’s Neil Cavuto if he would work for Trump again, Pompeo indicated that he would. “I don’t often comment on jobs I’ve not been offered,” Pompeo responded. “But if I get a chance to serve and think that I can make a difference … I’m almost certainly going to say yes to that opportunity to try and deliver on behalf of the American people.”...

The Empire State is not expected to recover all the jobs lost from the COVID pandemic until at least late 2026, according to a new analysis. The report by state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, which cited a forecast by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office, expressed concern about New York’s slow jobs recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the rest of the country. “State employment growth is still forecasted to lag that of the nation,” DiNapoli’s analysis of Hochul’s executive budget plan said. “While the nation’s employment exceeds its pre-pandemic levels, New York has still not recovered all the jobs that were...

Bud Light is staging a comeback with the launch of a flashy new Super Bowl LVIII ad after the beleaguered brand suffered huge sales losses in the wake of its disastrous marking campaign with Dylan Mulvaney. 'The brand is back with a humorous spot introducing a new character to the Bud Light universe and some familiar faces from the platforms the brand has been passionate about for...

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said he would support the legal fund of a man who is accused of vandalizing a display by The Satanic Temple inside the Iowa Capitol on Thursday. “Satan has no place in our society and should not be recognized as a ‘religion’ by the federal government,” DeSantis said on X, formerly Twitter. “I’ll chip in to contribute to this veteran’s legal defense fund. Good prevails over evil — that’s the American spirit.”

The scales have fallen from the eyes of Henry Kissinger. He was a signatory in 2015 to a letter that urged Congress to pass legislation allowing more Muslims from Syria and Iraq — claiming to be refugees — to be admitted to the United States. Now he looks at Europe, where millions of Muslims have been allowed to settle, where they batten on the benefits provided by those generous welfare states, and sees how they have spread the virus of antisemitism that they brought with them when they arrived. Kissinger was shaken by the murderous antisemitism that was on display...

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis previewed his border policy rollout in a dark video about the crisis, taking aim at rivals in an out of the White House. The new spot, accentuated with thriller-movie music, appears to double as a sharp rebuke of President Biden’s immigration record and an implicit dig at former President Donald Trump’s failure to make good on his promises. DeSantis will formally unveil his border security policy on Monday in Eagle Pass, Texas. “We will secure the border. We will stop the cartels. We will build the wall. We will stop the invasion. NO EXCUSES. @RonDeSantis...

Former President Donald Trump pitched a novel idea on Truth Social yesterday following his bizarre arraignment in Manhattan. He called on Republicans in Congress to “defund” the FBI and the Department of Justice. His suggestion was quickly jumped on from both sides of the aisle and compared to leftist calls to defund the police. At PJ Media, our colleague Robert Spencer makes the argument that Trump may be onto something and presents a case for why this should be attempted. He also argues that Trump’s critics are incorrect in describing this as being analogous to defunding the police. But this...

Former Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) let President Joe Biden have it over the ongoing crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border, saying on Wednesday that he had been wrong to dramatically change border policy without having a good plan in place to mitigate the potential fallout of those changes. Cuomo made the comments during the most recent episode of his podcast — “As a Matter of Fact …” — and he even went so far as to say that “the southern states were right” when they warned Biden not to dismantle the policies left in place by former President Donald Trump and...

The Centers for Disease Control are looking for new ways to determine the effectiveness of vaccines against seasonal respiratory diseases like COVID-19, and think the answer could be found in leveraging electronic health record data. The agency issued its Fiscal Year 2023 Broad Agency Announcement on Wednesday, calling for vendors to provide white papers outlining solutions that address 37 research topics posed by the CDC. “This effort will address knowledge gaps regarding the preventive benefit of currently available vaccines; aid in identification of populations who can benefit from enhanced vaccine strategies; and improve our ability to respond to seasonal respiratory...

Every year on January 1, I dread looking at social media. I know it’ll be flooded with the same old tosh. Giving up chocolate as of today… Doing Dry January… Going vegan… Stopping smoking… Not only are these posts incredibly boring – but they are, in most cases, blatant lies that people will not adhere to past a week. We all tell ourselves these tall tales. We dress them up as ‘resolutions’ but we know the truth. They’re fibs we parrot, again and again every single year. It’s why I’m having none of it. Statistics show that although resolutions are...

Monday on MSNBC’s “All In,” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed former Vice President Mike Pence’s refusal to testify for the soon-to-be-defunct January 6 Committee because he was going to run for president and did not want to “alienate” the so-called Trump base. “Why do you think he’s wrong when he says Congress has no right to his testimony?” MSNBC host Chris Hayes said. “Because it’s — you know, at its base, the most basic, it’s not about what Congress has a right to — indeed, we do have a right to his testimony,” Schiff replied. “It’s what is his responsibility...

President Biden on Friday said he does not view supporters of former President Trump as a threat to the country, one day after he delivered a speech describing “MAGA Republicans” as a danger to democracy and the soul of the nation. “I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat to the country,” Biden told reporters when asked about the distinction. “I do think anyone who calls for the use of violence, fails to condemn violence when it’s used, refuses to acknowledge an election has been won, insists upon changing the way in which we rule and count votes,...

Source: Photo courtesy of Mike LindellOn Friday, February 5th, Mike Lindell—Mr. My Pillow—released to America a video entitled Absolute Proof. Therein, he purports to provide irrefutable evidence that both domestic and foreign conspirators fraudulently derailed the 2020 election to unlawfully defeat President Trump and illegally deliver a victory to Joe Biden. What is telling is that, to date, the evidence of that fraud presented by Mr. Lindell has only been denied, but not demonstrably refuted. In the minds of thoughtful persons, the foregoing should eventually lead them to ask: where is the F.B.I in all of this? Particularly when the...

We either have a country or we don’t. We either morph into a lawless banana republic or we don’t. President Trump issued a warning on Sunday night. President Trump warned the swing states on Sunday night that found “Massive Voter Fraud” — which is all of them — CANNOT LEGALLY CERTIFY these votes. IT’S NOT LEGAL! They commit a severely punishable crime!
