The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has released its nominations for the 32nd Saturn Awards, to be given out May 2, 2006 in Universal City, California. The Stargate franchise picked up a total of four nominations in this year's prestigious genre awards. The Sci Fi Channel announced today that they have renewed Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis for the 2006-2007 season! Stargate SG-1 will become the longest-running US science fiction program as it enters its 10th season. New episodes of SG-1 and Atlantis begin filming in February 2006, and seasons 10 and 3 will begin airing next summer. The remaining episodes of seasons 9 and 2 will continue in January.
