The dos and do not dos of flying this Labor Day Weekend (or any day really)Flying suck now. It’s a nightmare, and it’s only gotten worse since the plague times. It seems some of us have forgotten what it means to be or behave like a person — a normal, decent person. Or maybe the monster was always lurking there, just under the surface. Who knew one delayed flight was all it took to make someone snap? Some of us have forgotten basic flying decency. Ahead of yet another chaotic travel event, with 14 million passengers taking to the skies...

If brevity is the soul of wit, can it also breathe life into bad movie descriptions? Twitter users had fun over the weekend coming up with obscure, sometimes humorously misleading summaries for the plots of famous films on the hashtag #ExplainAFilmPlotBadly. Here's a look -- we've provided stills, but can you recognize every film?

Everyday, our feeds on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are flooded with the same old crap. Girls are going crazy taking pictures of EVERYTHING throughout their days, and subjecting their friends to this garbage on all the social media sites. These following 20 [sic] pictures are the most commonly posted, and the reason Zuckerberg gave us an 'unfriend' button.

In slideshow, Rep. Joe Barton declares war on the Obama administrationBy Al Kamen Washington Post Staff Writer Monday, November 29, 2010; 5:16 PM If the Obama administration was hoping to see hints of bipartisanship from the Hill, it might want to skip over the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The committee's ranking Republican, Rep. Joe L. Barton (Tex.), has a slide presentation that he's e-mailing to colleagues, pledging to do for the administration what Gen. George Patton and company did for Germany. The first slides are standard campaign material, with Barton asking to be elected by the new House Republican...

I seem to remember an excellent medley of US Service songs and other patriotic songs which were synced up to a sideshow showing pictures of the various branches of the military and other patriotic themes. It was very long but very well done and was on someone's personal site. If anyone knows what I am talking about it would be great, if not post some other interesting items for the 4th of July.

I just purchased Roxio Creator, Suite 9 and I am asking for help from freepers who have experience with slide shows containing music. I want to put a family slide show together as a christmas gift for my three brothers and one sister. My parents and one sister have passed away so it will be very sentimental. My Dad was in the Navy and USAF during WWII, Korean, and Vietnam so we have had a lot going on in our life. I am also looking for music reminising about the past. The only one I can come up with is...

"Privacy for terrorists in America. Vote Democratic." "The House of Representatives is being run like a plantation! Know what I mean, Vern? Racism abounds? Republicans are oppressing Democrats? Hillary thinks...

I hope this ok to post, and I hope I put it under the right category. This slideshow is fascinating, but long. However, it's worth going through and reading all of the commentary by this resident of the French Quarter who stayed for Katrina. His view of reporters is especially interesting.

Hi all; I'm looking for FReeper tips on easy-to-use DVD authoring software for the PC. I'd like to make a DVD slideshow of family photos with menus that let the viewer watch the slidewho on their TV. I'm using a DVD-RW (not DVD+RW) type recorder, if that matters.

This is an excellent photo gallery of 9-11 events. Beware, it takes, at least, 20 minutes to see all of the photos. Scroll down, just a tad. Photo Gallery is on the left of page.

Two threads appeared here over the last couple of weeks concerning alleged complaints of Air Force personnel about conditions at Bagram Airbase ("Top 10 Air Force Complaints Overheard at Bagram Airbase" and "Power Point Slide Show, Pictures from Bagram") I received an email containing a reply by an Air Force doctor concerning this topic. I don't know who the e-mail was written to originally, and I am omitting his name for obvious reasons. I thought you FREEPERS might appreciate it. The email follows: My response to the articles: For those who don't now me, I'm an Air Force Colonel, a...
