GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert, the holster-wearing Colorado restaurant owner recently elected to Congress, has received a permit to carry a gun in Washington, D.C. The chief of the District of Columbia police department said Thursday that Boebert has been granted a concealed-carry permit.

Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee introduced a bill earlier this month that would enact some of the strictest gun regulations in the history of the country and give the federal government sweeping power to decide who can own a firearm. The Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act, named after a Pakistani exchange student who was murdered in Texas in 2018, would "provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms" and "prohibit the possession of certain ammunition." Specifically, the bill would dramatically expand the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Justice...

In total there were more than 21 million background checks conducted last year, compared to just over 13 million in 2019, and while there has been a steady increase yearly of around 8 percent, 2020 saw that significant jump. According to data from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), while December saw a 24 percent increase in year-over-year sales, just after the election in November sales jumped by 49 percent from the prior year.

The first rifle on my list is the venerable Ruger 10/22. Designed to mimic the size and weight of the historic M1 Carbine, this compact weapon has made a name for itself as one of the most accurate, reliable, and affordable .22s on the market. It works great for small game hunting or propped by the back door for varmints, and with a 10-round magazine, it can handle self-defense in a pinch. There is also an endless list of aftermarket accessories available, so you can customize your rifle with ease.

California has many of the most prominent aspects of President Joe Bidenâs (D) gun control plan but is, nonetheless, plagued by a steady flow of mass shootings. In fact, a spate of California mass shootings in 2019 led the Mercury News to ask, âDoes gun control work?â Two of Bidenâs chief gun control proposals are universal background checks and an âassault weaponsâ ban. UC Davis noted that California adopted âcomprehensive background checkâ policies in 1991, and Southern California Public Radio reported that the stateâs âRoberti-Roos Assault Weapons Control Act of 1989 became law on January 1, 1990.â Democrats such as...

The FBI reported that it processed a record 39.7 million firearm background checks in 2020, the most of any year since the law enforcement agency started recording sales data in 1998. Nine out of 10 of the highest weeks for FBI background checks were performed last year. 2020 saw a 34 percent increase over the previous high of 15.7 million in background checks that had been conducted in 2016.

Veteran film producer Dallas Sonnier had an odd experience seeking a distributor for his newest film. "Run Hide Fight," glibly called "Die Hard" in a school, follows a determined student (Isabel May) who fights back when gunmen invade the building. The film debuted at the Venice Film Festival late last year, but several distributors declined to buy the feature. The conversations didn't end there, though. "I'd get a phone call, 'Dude, that movie is incredible. It's one of the best movies I've seen all year,'" Sonnier recalls. "'I so wish that we could distribute this movie, but I can't risk...

âThe coming years will decide the survival of our Second Amendment,â President Trump warned before the election. Trump was right. During the 2020 campaign, Joe Biden promised a long list of gun control regulations. There is a reason that Michael Bloomberg spent $125 million helping Biden in Florida and something over $600 million nationally in the general election. The agenda includes: classifying many semi-automatic rifles and magazines holding more than 10 bullets as Class 3 weapons (which can require nine months or more for approval and a $200 fee), national gun licensing, âred flagâ laws that let judges take away...

Itâs a painful lesson we learned with the truth about what caused of deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty, and Tyrone Woods. Rice knowingly lied to cover up the mistakes made by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, then Vice President Biden and President Barack Obama, who failed to fulfil their duty and protect the lives of Americans overseas. Ambassador Rice made the rounds on five Sunday morning talk shows spreading lies of how the coordinated attack on a U.S. compound was sparked by a video no one ever saw nor heard.

The Violence Policy Center (VPC) on Monday released a 39-page report about the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the gun industry as a whole. The gun control group takes issue with the NSSF and NRA "targeting" blacks and Latinos as first-time gun owners. "In its marketing efforts to communities of color, the gun industry frequently focuses on the self-defense use of firearms, despite the fact that guns are rarely used to stop crimes or kill criminals and are far more likely to be used in homicides, suicides, or fatal unintentional shootings," the report stated....

In December just before Christmas, Jason Vanderbrink, president of the ammunition manufacturing companies Federal, CCI, Speer, and Remington released a video statement on YouTube (see above, very interesting to say the least) that was meant to reassure buyers that efforts were underway to address the shortage of ammunition on retail shelves. Vanderbrink was quick to the point stating, âIâm tired of the hate mail,â and âIâm tired of people showing up at our factories.â He quickly added that there has been a lot of misinformation on the Internet that his companies havenât done enough to meet the demand.

Meet the CDX-50 Tremor â the name alone would likely give Second Amendment opponents night tremors. At just under 23 pounds, the bolt action Cadex CDX-50 Tremor is the lightest .50 BMG platform on the market today â a full 10 pounds lighter than the Barrett M107 used by the U.S. military.

In 2020, Americans responded to perceived threats by breaking firearm sales records. In the new year, turmoil over the sanctity of the vote and fears that a new president might keep far-reaching gun-control campaign promises sparked a new rash of firearm sales. Gun manufacturersâ supply lines in January are stretched thin. In Pittsburgh and across the country, retailers are struggling to meet demand, and some ammunition is hard to find.

President Joe Biden campaigned on universal background checks for gun purchases and such checks require a firearm registry in order to be enforceable. The âGun Safetyâ portion of Bidenâs campaign website clearly states, âBiden will enact universal background check legislation.â The website stipulates: Biden will enact universal background check legislation, requiring a background check for all gun sales with very limited exceptions, such as gifts between close family members. This will close the so-called âgun show and online sales loopholeâ that the Obama-Biden Administration narrowed, but which cannot be fully closed by executive action alone. Background checks for retail gun...

We live in an unpredictable and unreliable world these days. Many factors of life are not what they used to be, and home security is a new or renewed concern for many. Part of any home security plan should include a reliable firearm, and few hold the reputation of reliability that belongs to the revolver. While lacking the magazine capacity of most full-size semi-auto pistols, the venerable wheel gun is virtually impossible to jam and often chambered in powerful cartridges like the .357 Magnum that put plenty of energy on target. There are many good revolvers out there to protect...

Here in the United States, there are many issues that people love to debate. While politics tops the list today, there are certainly other issues that could divide the country and leave people flustered and downright hostile. Up there with the best city for pizza or whether baseball should have a designated hitter rule is the issue of âwhat makes a good home self-defense gun?â

In its final days, the Trump administration is seeking to disrupt the way progressive activists increasingly impose their will on big business: through banks controlling the loan lifelines to the economy. A regulation just finalized (update) aims to prevent lenders from blackballing businesses in industries opposed by the left by requiring banks to demonstrate that their loan decisions are âbased on quantitative, impartial risk-based standards,â rather than political or reputational concerns. The proposed Fair Access to Financial Services Rule (FAFSR) is a response to successful pressure campaigns waged by environmental groups and congressional Democrats, which culminated in every major American...

WHAT HAPPENS NOW THAT THE DEMOCRATS HAVE SEIZED CONTROL OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ver. 4.0 With the steal of the Presidency and 2 Senate seats in Georgia complete, here is a condensed look at some of what we will face in the near future now that the socialists/communists/marxists/globalists/hate America crowd (leftist's) have seized full control of our federal government, and therefore control of our lives in the "United" States of America. And what happened at the Capital Building on 01.06.2021 (whether it was 10% or 50% antifa incited/perpetrated) will give them greater resolve to continue to strip away our freedoms...
