The FBI reported that it processed a record 39.7 million firearm background checks in 2020, the most of any year since the law enforcement agency started recording sales data in 1998. Nine out of 10 of the highest weeks for FBI background checks were performed last year. 2020 saw a 34 percent increase over the previous high of 15.7 million in background checks that had been conducted in 2016.

I wonder how many of those gun owners followed Lin Wood and let the Democrats win the Georgia runoffs, you know, to ‘teach the GOP a lesson’. They say there’s no difference between the parties. Bummer for them...as they’ll soon become ‘former gun owners’, as they learn that there really are some differences...
Yes but what about the tally a year from now?
There are no more guns to buy.
I don’t think they will vote to ban guns. I think they will ban ammunition.
That’s a lot of expensive, and not very weildy clubs. Makes me think it’s not just high demand for ammo so much as it is stealth “operation chokepoint”.
Who does the math 39.7 Milliom is 253% higher than the 2016 numbers, not 34% higher.
No need for me to read any further than that.
Oh well, I said math not spelling.
It's going to be bad.. And it's going to get UGLY..!!
About 16.3 million guns sold in 2016.
About half of checks are for other things, like gun permit checks.
Ammo is like silver... We should have been there already..
That’s the core of HR127: can’t buy ammo without a license.
I did my part. I added 13 more guns to my collection last year.
Retail handgun inventory is really low in my area. I can’t find 9mm ammo anywhere.
They will tax both.

“from my cold dead hand” sounds good but don’t count on it. When the BAFT, FIB, IRS, DHS and your local “Boston Strong”, pandemic lock down cops get serious people will, for the most part, give them up. When the tax legislation is about to be passed, watch for a run to DUMP firearms at any price greater than a Target gift card.
“I think they will ban ammunition.”
Which will open up the market for illegal ammo coming across the Southern border but the Biden administration will be able to stop that just like they are stopping illegal aliens from coming across....oh wait
We sold 170 yesterday and still getting more in to sell.
We put out 10,000 rounds last week and it was gone in hours.
“There are no more guns to buy.”
I sure as hell can’t find what I am looking for...or ammunition either!
The brake on sales will be availability. If infringement edicts are handed down, it will put more pressure on ammo makers.
I went to Cabelas yesterday just to look around. Few guns and practically NO ammo. All they had was some 12 gauge birdshot and some 20 gauge.
