West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey (R) is advising sheriffs in his state to stay on task processing concealed carry permit applications and issuing those permits for applicants legally able to carry a gun. In January, 2013, after a 911 call, a police officer of the City of San Jose seized 12 firearms from the home of Edward and Lori Rodriquez in the City of San Jose, California. A Tennessee man faces a felony murder charge after he allegedly broke into an Arlington Heights home Saturday to rob a family at gunpoint and the homeowner shot and killed his accomplice, police say. Bradley J. A Virginia store clerk heard a crash that sounded like a car had crashed into the place at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, who was sued by gun-rights groups after trying to shut down firearms dealers in the wake of coronavirus concerns, is abandoning the effort. The sheriff said Monday he's heeding a federal Department of Homeland Security advisory issued on Saturday that listed gun and ammunition dealers as “essential critical infrastructure workers."
