"I really appreciate the support given to me by the evangelicals. They've been incredible. Every poll shows how well I'm doing with them," Trump says in the ad, filmed from what appears to be his office in Trump Tower. "And, you know, my mother gave me this Bible, this very Bible, many years ago," he added, holding up the holy book to the camera. "In fact, it's her writing, right here. She wrote the name and the address, and it's just very special to me." The billionaire businessman closed the 30-second spot by vowing he would never let the evangelical...

FERGUSON, George What to say about George? Certainly, no one could accuse him of having been a loving son, brother, or father. He'd gladly have stolen the shirt off your back and he was generous to a fault with other people's money. Was he a small-time con-man with grandiose schemes? Probably. But another view of him is that he was the most exciting member of his family and of the families he married into. He was a poor man's rhetorician who beguiled certain woman into buying into his promises and dreams. This latter view is lent some support by the...

Greg Hengler - "I wish Ann Curry had the same umpf, passion, and tenacity when interviewing liberals and Democrats. Geez." Below is my dictation of the interview of Ann Curry questioning Newt Gingrich after reading the propaganda NYT editorial. Curry - Are you intentionally playing the race card to win votes? Gingrich - You know modern liberals are just, I think frankly, are totally off the deep end. I went to the Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast Monday morning with the Republican Congressman who is an African-American Tim Scott. We talked about the corridor of shame, which president Obama campaigned...

In response to the Drudge Report’s scoop about Marianne Gingrich’s interview with ABC News, Bob Walker, a senior Gingrich adviser, tells National Review Online that the campaign will fight back. “It is pretty nasty to use personal tragedy for political exploitation,†he says. “That was a very bitter divorce, and you’re talking about somebody who is still, probably, very bitter.â€Beyond Walker, several sources close to the Gingrich campaign agree on the merits, but predict that Gingrich will likely ignore the story. They tell NRO that the interview is a “retread†of an Esquire magazine article published in 2010, and...

Just days after appearing on the Tyra Banks Show, Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin's former fiancé and father to her son Tripp, talked more on CBS' The Early Show about his difficulties with the family of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. One point of disagreement: Whether Johnston, 18, ever lived at the Palin's home. "They said I didn't live there," he said. "[They say] I 'stayed' there. I was like, 'Okay, whatever you want to call it' – I had all my stuff there. So, if you wanna call it staying there, that's fine."

Sao Paulo, Sep 3 (EFE).- Brazilian former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso accused the country's current leader, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, of presiding over "a republic of scoundrels" in an editorial published Sunday in the Sao Paulo daily O Estado. The piece was in keeping with Cardoso's strenuous campaign to prevent Lula's reelection in the Oct. 1 vote, despite the fact that all the opinion polls taken to date say the president's triumph is a certainty. "How is it possible that in the face of so much moral disaster people can vote to consolidate a presidential situation whose sins are...

A Glimpse Ahead Timothy Snodgrass The Impossible Will Come Alive In 2005 01/28/05 In January of 2004, as we began to intercede for the New Year the Holy Spirit gave us the prophetic slogan, "The Seas will Roar in 2004". I have entered into the den of iniquity to seek redmeption from the evil that has overtaken us. I ache and groan not lightly but deeply into my very bowels at the doom that has overtaken us. One man, one party has stolen the soul of this nation and transformed us into those who kill and plunder. Oh, the grief of one more fraud that has installed this tyrant. Why must we endure such a pernicious monster? Deliver us from this monster. Take this cancer from us.
