I've checked some lists of image-hosting sites, but perhaps someone can point me to good ones: -free -minimal "registration" (prefer not, or ability to use fake name) -no propaganda such as promoting BLM, homos, etc.
  • TinyPic is shutting down in 2019

TinyPic is shutting down its image hosting service because we can no longer support a free service that derives 100% of its revenue from ever declining on-site ad revenues. While you may continue to host images from our site until further notice, we encourage you to consider selecting one of the premium plans offered by our sister site, Photobucket. Thanks for using TinyPic for your hosting needs over the years. We apologize that we can no longer continue providing this service, but Photobucket is a great option going forward.

A couple of years ago photobucket announced it was going to charge a fee to its users for hosting pics to other sites such as I did to post pics on my profile page. Since that time all the pics on my profile page were replaced with a little banner saying they could not be displayed or some such. Now I notice all the pics are back so I am just wondering if anyone knows why that happened.

Need suggestions for another site offering FREE third party image sharing. Photobucket just informed me that they will continue to offer that for the modest sum of 400 bucks per year. Adios, PHOTOBUCKET! Thanks.
  • Photobucket pulls third party hosting/linking

Looks like Photobucket is pulling its third party hosting/linking service unless you opt for a premium plan... at $400/ year. I had an email this morning saying such. So much for their "free" service. Have not tried, but I assume I still have access to my photos. Never did put much up there, just an occasional photo that I could not link to for various reasons.

Photobucket has decided that they know how I want my images displayed better than I do.If I had a free account I would have no right to complain but I've been paying for storage for at least 7 or 8 years.I don't mind paying for service but I expect some control over my galleries.Photobucket is catering to the kids with cellphone cameras and more interested in selling ads for bling than in hosting serious accounts. I'm trying a 15 day trial at Smugmug, if I like it I've got to start moving photos.
  • Photobucket breach floods Web with racy images

What happens on social media doesn't always stay on social media. That may be the unfortunate lesson for those who've recently had private photos accessed and shared due to a privacy gap on the photo-sharing website Photobucket. Nude, explicit, and R-rated images uploaded on the social media site were in some cases made available to view on public Web forums dedicated to exploiting Photobucket's privacy settings. The breach of privacy "is a very rare occurrence that has affected only a small number of Photobucket's users," said Photobucket spokesman David Toner. But the forums, some filled with stolen racy pictures and...

I use the Firefox browser, and usually leave about six favorite tabs open all the time. I close Firefox, but not my tabs, when I shut my computer down at night. When I open my browser, all of my favorite tabs are there. One of them is Photobucket. It's always set to my favorite page of images. Tonight when I clicked on my Photobucket tab, instead of seeing my pics collection, I got their sign-in page. Ok, just press 'sign-in', and I should go to my account. No bueno. Photobucket keeps telling me that I'm using the wrong username or...
  • Photobucket has banned me (opposition to universal healthcare not tolerated)

Photobucket has banned my account with them. Reason? Because of hateful rhetoric. I posted several demotivational posters on there entitled universal healthcare head shot. It was an idea for a meme that a friend of mine in Santa Barbara came up with. It had pictures of the holocaust and so on and illustrated that a government powerful enough to give you free healthcare will not only deny you healthcare but even promote deathcare. Hence Hitler's holocaust and Stalin's purge. I also threw in pictures from South Africa, World war 1, China and so on. I was banned. According to the...

  • Photobucket deleting images? - Terms of use? (Vanity)

Has anyone else noticed photobucket.com deleting more and more photos for "terms of use" violations that don't seem appropriate? Has anybody had success in contacting photobucket and inquiring about or challenging an image deletion? Although I understand that photobucket.com is a private enterprise and is legally entitled to enforce terms of use violations it seems that they are using this "terms of use" excuse to delete merely politically inconvenient images in increasing numbers. The latest deletion was the blue-tinged actual output of the new airport security scan. Even though IANAL I know enough to know there is no way that...

Photobucket, the popular photo sharing website, became the target of a DNS hack on Tuesday. As a result of the attack some (but not all) surfers hoping to check out pictures were involuntarily redirected to a greeting from hacker NetDeliz and a message in Turkish. A post to Photobucket's user forum blamed the problem on "an error in our DNS hosting services". It stressed that users' personal information was not affected by the redirection. On Tuesday afternoon, some users that typed in the Photobucket.com URL were temporarily redirected to an incorrect page due to an error in our DNS hosting...
