A couple of years ago photobucket announced it was going to charge a fee to its users for hosting pics to other sites such as I did to post pics on my profile page. Since that time all the pics on my profile page were replaced with a little banner saying they could not be displayed or some such. Now I notice all the pics are back so I am just wondering if anyone knows why that happened.
Why not ask them?
....it WAS the Odungo era...a photo may have offended someone... Any sort of patriotic display of anything WAS frown upon
I finally dumped the “free” service. Took forever and full of ads. I use postimage now, fast free and works great.
I think I found the answer I was looking for. It seems that Chrome and a few other browsers created a workaround extension that allows 3rd party hosting from photobucket, nothing that PB did or allows.
Sounds Fishy!
More leftist throttling of FREE SPEECH? I’m now service a stint in “FACEBOOK JAIL” for criticizing the ROP. That is one more step in stomping out FREE SPEECH by Conservatives.
Once they started that policy I just stopped using photobucket. I’ve not accessed my account for a very long time.
Thanks for the tip!
It happened a year or more ago.
I guess they just could not make $ hosting for ad clicks and the bandwidth was killing them I guess.
Everyone abandoned them but the convenience is a bit of a loss.
I tried a few others but still haven’t settled on one.
Google Photo Bucket hosting.
Lots of answers.

Thank You!
....and it’s only gonna get uglier...
It’s only temporary, while they implement a new program trying to sign up paying customers at relatively low fees.
If you failed to renew the fee, they cut the link to your pics on their site.
Same here - dumped PB after all third party pictures were blocked - went with postimage and it works great.
PS: And some of those ads were truly sickening.
I'm still "hosted" by PB, but it may be because I purchased a few prints. (Not that the process is easy).
Have you tried https://www.pinterest.com/ Seems to work better than Google in in getting photo address to post elsewhere.
