  • Does Trump Have Grounds for a MASSIVE Libel Suit?

I think there are Felonies here and Misprision of Felonies, but in addition isn't their grounds for a MASSIVE libel suit of epic proportions? I meant they spent $12 million to MANUFACTURE a dossier accusing a person of some pretty terrible things. That certainly is grounds for a civil suit. Then (knowing it was fake) they used it to obtain warrants. That's where the felonies come in. And all the stuff that happened after- including unmasking.

Consumer confidence is crashing. If the economy goes south because of default fears, President Obama will be the big loser. So, people currently blame the Republicans more than anyone else for the government shutdown, but predicting the long-term political fallout is not as easy as that suggests. For one thing, the latest CBS News poll shows that while slightly more people believe the Republicans are at fault, a majority of them are upset with both sides for the inability to avert this crisis. The real story is not revealed by people's view of the politicians; it's contained in the indices of...

July 24, 2013 Barack Obama flops in Knox: the president’s speech was a train-wreck Niles Gardiner It’s been a rough few weeks for Barack Obama. A wave of scandals has undermined trust in the White House, and a series of major polls has hammered the president in the first year of his second term. Support for Obama has dropped to its lowest level in two years, with widespread public dissatisfaction over his handling of the economy. .......... Today’s speech at Knox College, Illinois, was supposed to be the president’s come-back moment, the first of a series of addresses aimed at...

Even with President Barack Obama fresh off a trip to Africa and headed in late summer for a trip to Russia, people outside the United States take a less favorable view of America than they did right after he became president. Surveys from different parts of the world show the initial goodwill toward the U.S. from the international community after Obama assumed office has waned and recent headlines point to some reasons why -- Revelations of U.S. international surveillance, the manhunt of information leaker Edward Snowden, drone strikes in foreign countries and the continued unrest in Syria have exposed the...

Greeting Air Force One as it touched down under sunny skies and sultry heat was a hand-painted banner draped across the top of an airplane hangar that reads, "Obama Welcome to SUX - We Did Build This." A lawyer for President Barack Obama argued today in Florida that a lawsuit claiming his client "is not eligible to appear on the November ballot because he is not a 'natural born citizen,'” should be dismissed on the grounds that the Democratic Party has not yet nominated a candidate. In Tallahasse, Florida, Attorney Mark Herron, representing President Obama, told Leon County, Florida Circuit Judge Terry Lewis that the January 31, 2012 Florida Presidential Preference Primary “did not result in nomination or election” and that “federal law precludes this court from determining whether a candidate for the office of President of...

Barack Obama’s increasingly desperate struggle to win re-election is causing some of his worst traits to be put on display, including petulance and self-pity. The latest example occurred during a fundraiser in Baltimore, when the president said, “Because folks are still hurting right now, the other side feels that it’s enough for them to just sit back and say, ‘Things aren’t as good as they should be, and it’s Obama’s fault.’” This is rich. No president in human history has quite equaled Obama when it comes to blaming others for his problems....

  • Obama Blames Europe, Japan for US Economic Woes

President Obama is pointing to problems in Japan and Europe as challenges for the U.S. economy, placing some blame on events abroad for a domestic recovery that is showing signs of slowing down. Photo by: Pete Souza Government data released Friday showed employers in May hired the fewest number of workers in eight months and U.S. unemployment rose to 9.1 percent, up from 9.0 percent in April. That bump is a political challenge for the president, whose re-election in 2012 may depend on his ability to convince voters that his economic policies have been successful. Part of his pitch will...

South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson seems to have set a precedent Wednesday night when he called the president a liar during a joint session of Congress. That's the official word from House Deputy Historian Fred Beuttler, who says that though cheering and jeering between parties are commonplace, a single individual seldom steals the floor. Yet, there was Wilson, red-faced and alone, jabbing the air with his index finger and shouting to Barack Obama, "You lie!" As we say down South, "What in tarnation?"... This is not to excuse Wilson's behavior, which caused him to become an overnight Twitter sensation. His...

In Barack we trust? Obama campaigned on his personality and judgment and won. Now, like it or not, he isn't beholden to anyone. By David Sirota Nov. 29, 2008 | Judging by the proliferation of capital letters in the e-mail correspondence I receive, many seem worried that Barack Obama may not deliver the promised "change we can believe in." After voters rejected the mantra of free trade and deregulation, some of those contacting me say they are upset that Obama is hiring so many free-trading deregulators who birthed today's economic mess. With the president-elect having touted his opposition to the...

Obama: 'Change comes . . . from me' By NIA-MALIKA HENDERSON Obama referred to his team of advisers as "fresh thinking," adding that the “vision for change comes first and foremost…from me.” President-elect Barack Obama pushed back at a press conference in Chicago today when asked how he would respond to supporters "who were looking for change," given how many of his announced and rumored appointments thus far are Clinton administration veterans. “When it comes to the people that we've pulled together -- because I know this has been sort of conventional wisdom floating around Washington -- that, well, you...
