Its been a rough few weeks for Barack Obama. A wave of scandals has undermined trust in the White House, and a series of major polls has hammered the president in the first year of his second term. Support for Obama has dropped to its lowest level in two years, with widespread public dissatisfaction over his handling of the economy.
..........
Todays speech at Knox College, Illinois, was supposed to be the presidents come-back moment, the first of a series of addresses aimed at retaking the initiative by the White House. Instead it was a train-wreck. In an hour-long address, which seemed to last forever (and par for course started 15 minutes late), the president spoke in deeply partisan terms, often with bitterness and anger, lambasting his political opponents, dismissing criticism of his policies, and launching into his favourite theme of class warfare, attacking the wealthy and what he calls the winner takes all economy. In a display of extraordinary arrogance (even by his standards), he condemned what he called an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals, a direct reference to the Congressional investigations into the IRS and Benghazi scandals, which most Americans dont see as phony. He also defended his increasingly unpopular Obamacare proposals, attacking what he calls a politically-motivated misinformation campaign, while failing to acknowledge that moderate Democrats are steadily turning against Obamacare as The Washington Post reported today.
This was a highly defensive speech, with President Obama in full campaign mode. There were no fresh ideas, just a tired rehash of earlier campaign rhetoric....

UK papers.....forget American ones.
You can tell he doesn’t believe his lies either.
Since 2008.
an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals,
This guy is so easy to defeat politically, but our side insists on limp attacks. When we l,basted his first two years, nearly the entire country wiped out his party. Then, the consultants took over and were determined that attacking the ‘popular’ president would turn away voters. In actuality, the weak handed approach failed to excite voters. We didn’t address their ridiculous charges of beng anti women anti minority and anti gay.
He’s a lightweight, empty suit who’s not skill is intimidating his opponents. Our sides leadership could dominate if they just took the offensive and realized he is a one trick pony.
Well, what would one expect? You go to a place whose overwhelming majority citizens aren’t on the government dole. Why in the hell would anyone want listen to this Post-CW Carpetbagger ‘Elected Official’?
He was installed into office (twice) by white guilt, greed and avarice and by massive election fraud in key precincts.
You can tell he doesnt believe his lies either.
His mastery of Taqiyya is slipping a bit.
Just pandering to his 30% base, which includes all MSM outlets.
The Baraqqis won in 2012 based on entitlements, not politics.
Until the deficit funded entitlements meet the harsh discipline of the financial markets (which WILL happen someday) the Dems are a lock in national POTUS contests.
panic.....
the Ceausescu moment is near
Anymore, it is nearly impossible to comment on anything he does without first saying....well, you know.
Now he talks about possible civil unrest/increasing “social tensions” if the Republicans don’t jump on board? ARRRRGHHHH, someone get the hook.
And that Hench-sista Jarrett of his was on CNBC this morning, singing his praises. How much is he going to spend city trotting around the country this time???
There were no fresh ideas, just a tired rehash of earlier campaign rhetoric....
This sentence would be accurate concerning about 95% of Obama’s speeches. The remaining 5% are those wherein he removes the mask and reveals his true ‘movement’ identity.
His usual audience of liberalism-immersed college students who haven’t lived a minute in the real world. He talks about how great things are since he took office, then how bad things are because those evil “others” won’t let the little tyrant always have his way.
The smartest thing the next candidate from our side is to not waste time giving interviews to any reporters with a track record of politically biased reporting.
People that watch those hacks vote only one way. Don’t need them.
Get out, personal appearances, souvenirs, don’t use TV until late in the campaign then use it to his/her advantage.
nobama missed his perfect moment. If his speech had been “I resign immediately” the country would shoot forward on so many levels. Oh, well. Every day is a new opportunity for the degenerate commie, nobama. One can only hope.
