The legendary pop/gospel singer and avowed conservative appeared on Fox Business News on Wednesday night, joining Neil Cavuto to give his expert opinion on the deficit fight and sequestration. Instead of fiscal wonkery, though, Boone reached back into the past several years of Tea Party rhetoric to accuse Obama of being a socialist, bent on destroying economic progress through policies advocated by Saul Alinsky.

I was a little disappointed at Cavuto, who didn't have the nerve to agree with Pat Boone on Obama being a socialist and marxist. But I guess I can understand it, he wants to keep his job and the best way to do that is not to tell the truth about the Marxist-in-chief.

Pat Boone was on Obama's enemies list? Gee whittakers! When I read that headline, I almost lost my mind! Man, ain't that a shame. Yes, indeed, I'll remember tonight's headline till the time when the swallows come back to Capistrano.

It's too soon to know if the Obama regime is really serious about going in this direction. However, if this situation allowed to stand, the TSA might just show up at my front door seeking to give me some "friendly persuasion." Should that happen, I'll have to do like Long, Tall Sally and duck back in the alley.

Meanwhile, I'll be home, munching on a tutti frutti--I just hope our local politicians, inspired by Mayor Bloomberg don't forbid me from doing that.
