... Ramadan is part of the Islamic calendar, which is a lunar calendar. However, although the moon determines the end of one month and the beginning of anothern, they can't be calculated in advance because they rely on sightings of the crescent moon immediately after the new moon. ... So it could begin on Friday, Feb. 28 or Saturday, Mar. 1, depending on the sighting of a crescent moon soon after the new moon on Thursday, Feb. 28. It could even begin on Sunday, Mar. 2, 2025. It's referred to as the Ramadan Moon because its sighting ends the Islamic month of Shaban and sees the beginning of the month of Ramadan. ...

6/04/2009: Grand Hall of Cairo University

4/07/2009: Barack Obama today declared that the US "is not at war with Islam" as he made his first visit to a predominantly Muslim country as the US president where he addressed the Turkish parliament

9/25/2009 - Nearly 3,000 Muslims gathered on the west lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Friday for a mass Muslim prayer service organized by Imam Ali Jaaber of Dar-ul-Islam mosque in Elizabeth, NJ.

3/25/2023: Muslims observing Ramadan gathered in Manhattan’s Times Square to break their fast at 7:00 p.m. This is believed to be the first time this has occurred, though some say it happened first here in 2022. 2000 free iftar meals (containing dates, water, pizza, and gyro sandwiches) were served to Muslims on the sidewalks in partnership with food sponsors. Later that evening hundreds of Muslims participated in tarawih تراويح - special Sunnah prayers involving reading long portions of the Qur’an, as well as performing many rak'ah ركعة - cycles of movement involved in Islamic prayer at Times Square. A projector displayed verses from the Qur’an as they were recited by the gathered masses, along with English translations. The event ended at 11:00 p.m. Reportedly, the event took place during the weekend and was organized by Muslim social media influencer SQ in collaboration with nonprofit organizations named Muslims Giving Back and Droplets of Mercy. The organizer stated to the local media that Muslims who live in the United States want to celebrate Ramadan at this iconic location in the middle of New York City so that they may demonstrate to others that Islam is a religion that promotes peace. New York Mayor Eric Adams approved Muslims to mass pray at Times Square in the evenings of the month of Ramadan. It is approaching 22 years after 9/11, and Muslims have still not built the Cordoba House/ Park51 Islamic community center 2 blocks north of Ground Zero - but they haven't given up. This public prayer is not a display of peace - it is an example of taqiya - Islamic lying while in a position of weakness. It is also an act of intimidation held in the public's right of way. This has been happening all over Europe since the 2015 hijrah. I’ll be sure to eat lots of pork every day, in the daytime, until the end of March. Hell, yeah, even after that.
Nice, crispy bacon, ham and cheese sammiches, pork chops, pork hot dogs and sausages, Alabama style Boston butt pulled pork with white BBQ sauce, 24 hour smoked pork ribs, loins, ham hocks, I could go on like Bubba telling Forrest all the ways to cook shrimp...
Now I’m hungry!

A few years ago I saw an article that described Lent as a ‘Christian Ramadan’.

Reads like believers honoring their Moon Idol. Next, they’ll honor Shaton by throwing stones, so tribal!

****The sweetest sound is the moslem call to prayer”
As someone said years ago, “It sounds like someone trying to pass a kidney stone!”
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.”— Winston Churchill.

I’ll remember the events from 9-11 brought upon the USA by the religion of “Peace”!

I think Lent existed well before there were Muslims. Ramadan may have been copied/plagiarized from Christianity, much like other parts of Islam were copied from Christianity & Judaism.

Of course it did. That was pretty much the point of my post. History is being rewritten before our eyes.
