Flores was believed by many to be a frontrunner in New York, though the Giants went with Brian Daboll instead. Jones was asked by Le...

The $200,000 bail set Sunday for DeAndre Baker sounds like an onerous amount, but it was not, given that the Giants cornerback signed a four-year contract worth $10.5 million and last year received a signing bonus of $5.67 million. SNIP This could be an indication that despite the serious charges against Baker — four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault — the case might be unraveling, with witnesses recanting on their initial statements, a local defense attorney said. “From what has been presented to the public from the arraignment it seems that this...

Vice President Mike Pence abruptly canceled a trip to New Hampshire earlier this month so he could avoid shaking hands with a former New York Giants player under investigation for allegedly dealing drugs in the state, a report said Monday. Pence on July 2 suddenly scrapped a scheduled roundtable discussion on the opioid crisis at the Granite Recovery Center headquarters in Manchester, NH — but his staff and the White House have stayed mum about why. According to Politico, had Pence gone to the event, he would likely have met ex-NFLer Jeff Hatch, who was at the time being probed...

New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch says he hopes the NFL has heard the last from President Donald Trump regarding players kneeling during the national anthem. [Snip] "Hopefully he'll have much more going on that he's going have to deal with and should deal with and must deal with than worrying about what NFL players do," Tisch said. "He has no understanding of why they take a knee or why they're protesting. When the new season starts, I hope his priorities are not criticizing the NFL and telling owners what to do and what not to do."

New York Giants defensive end Olivier Vernon ignited an outcry after telling fans if they don’t approve of his decision to kneel for the national anthem, “don’t come to the game.” The retort came after Vernon, the only member of the Giants still regularly taking a knee, told reporters that he had been heckled by fans in response to his season-long protest. “You hear ‘coward’ and ‘stand up’ and ‘disgrace,’” Vernon said. “It’s fine. As long as nobody comes on the field and touches me. You stay where you at, you’re going to be all right. They have a right....
