Well the next night he hosted 80 kids from the Boys and Girls Club for a night of bowling and then gave away 350 backpacks to kids in the Frisco community.

He also said, there are plenty of kids that come to a game that never get to meet a player. He won’t treat his kids any differently.

” He won’t treat his kids any differently.”

Some would snub his own kids if they didn’t ‘wear the right jersey’?

I expect that peanut brain Kaepernick is cheering today on this solemn anniversary.

I'm not that bothered by this. Part of (most of?) the fun of team sports is team loyalty. People often complain that fans are more loyal to the team than the players. It's okay to admire the talent of players, but you are supposed to be for your team. If the kid had not been wearing the jersey of a team rival, things would have probably gone differently.

Yeah, whatever.

The bottom line is the kid got himself in position to ask for an autograph. Lawrence was already there and he stiffed the kid.

I don't care if he single handedly built a children's hospital and a Make-A-Wish amusement park the next day.

He stiffed the kid.

He did stiff the kid and he was a short sided fool to have done it not to mention hos complete insensitivity to the feelings of the kid.

If it were me I would have been more than happy to sign an autograph for a fan of a rival.

Does he have a history of doing this or was it simply damage control since the story got out?

I read an article years ago about one of Cal Ripkin Jr’s first home games. A little kid came running up for an autograph, and he refused. His agent was with him and told him to sigh the autograph.
He told him that that kid was going to buy his shirts, hats etc. etc. and to never forget that. For the rest of his career, after a home game, Ripkin sat at the bottom of the aisle by first base and signed every autograph that people wanted. Sometimes for several hours.
I’ve never forgotten that.

Eh, people whine too much. You wear the opposing jersey you get nothing, everybody know that.

Agree. Who cares what happens within an anti-American organization like the NFL? Talking about this stuff is like discussing the internal happenings at Antifa or BLM.
